Great getaway

Property was beautiful in a great location. Loved the balcony overlooking the pool and straight out to a wonderful view of the sea. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the condo but it was well appointed. Appreciated the supplied water cooler. The 2nd bathroom was a little strange but worked for us as one family had the two guest rooms. We would definitely choose this property again for future vacations.

Excellent condo in PDC

The location and property were excellent. The only complaint I have is that the condo description did not clearly explain that the 3rd bedroom did not have any closet or storage, and that both bathrooms are within the other two bedrooms, therefore there was no "common" bathroom for the person staying in the 3rd bedroom. It was a surprise to learn this, but we made it work fine. Everything else about the property is excellent!

Location Location Location

Let's start with when you go to the PDC, the number one priority is location, location, location. This condo is in El Faro condos and the unit faces the ocean. It's 1 block (less than 2 minutes walk) from 5th Avenue. The views are amazing. The restaurants around the location are amazing. You can see the sun rise in the mornings from deck that overlooks the water. There is security that keeps non-residents off the deck and out of the pool area. It feels safe. Kid friendly. Oh, the pool is also an infinity pool where it appears to drop off into the ocean. It doesn't obviously but the view is neat. We are a family of 5. We made breakfast every morning and grilled out a couple times. The Walmart is about a 10 minute walk. The street next to the condo runs directly into the Walmart. 2-3 of us just walked. There is a convenience store in the complex on the outside to get bags of ice and small items. We used the blender, the microwave, the dishwasher, coffee maker, the grill almost every day. The place is big enough for us all to spread out. The laundry is one floor down and takes about 2 minutes to get to it. You do have to be careful as the toilets clog very easily. Just flush more often! There are plenty of bath towels and beach towels. Just search the bedroom closets. Owner provides huge jugs of bottled water which is great! Air conditioning is set per room with a remote. This turned out to be great. Wow! The van service they referred was great too!

We loved it!

El Faro was a terrific place for our stay in Playa del Carmen. The condo was large and had a great balcony, the pool was perfect, the location was ideal, and the staff were wonderful. We will both recommend and return. Three suggestions: a broom and dust pan in the condo so we can deal with the sand we tracked in (if there was one we couldn't find it). Please use double bed sheets on the twins since you don't have fitted bottom sheets; this was a true pain in the butt to have to adjust all night. And hooks, hooks, hooks! We had no place to hang wet towels and suits.

Awesome Experience All The Way Around!

Everything was perfect. Location best in Playa! Close to everything. Pool and beach beautiful. Can’t beet the view from balcony and primary bedroom. Equipped with everything you need. Property manager awesome (had a minor issue and he was there right away). I hope we can make another trip soon. Thank you!!!

Would stay again

This place was clean and had excellent security. Communication was prompt and clear. Everything was as described with no unpleasant surprises. It was great being able to walk to everything and being right on the beach. There was always someone to ask questions to or get help from. We would stay again.

Property in bad repair. Dock was unsafe to walk. No beach behind hotel as advertised. We needed a late check out and management would t not work with us. Our room was never cleaned. Would never use Vrbo again and will not stay at el faro again. Recommend people find other accomodations

Great location

We enjoyed our stay at El Faro, it is conveniently located near the vibrant “Quinta Avenida” which has a lot to offer, including restaurants and shopping. The apartment has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The kitchen is well equipped and everything was in good condition. This place has a beautiful ocean view. Our family of 5 had a great time, we enjoyed the pool and the walks alongside the beach. We would go back to this place.

Great Location, Great View and Great Condo

Condo is perfect for us. We are a family of 5 and the Condo is big enough for all of us. The view is fantastic and we enjoy both the pool and beach. Our favorite restaurants are within a 10 minute walk.

Playa del Carmen

The overall experience and accommodations were nice, big enough for my family and convenient to pool, beach, boardwalk and ferry. For 1 week, we had 1 set of towels, which is ok, but not ideal, would have liked to have those swapped. Also, I do not believe the cleaning service came in during our stay, which i thought was expected for every other day, possibly to swap garbage. Overall, we enjoyed our time and everyone we came into contact with was extremely friendly.

Condo with nice views

This condo is nice for family and friends. Great location for walking to 5th Ave and easy access to food. Must try Zenzy Bar next door - great food and live bands. The weekend nightlife gets a little noisy close proximity to the condo and makes it hard to sleep. Overall was a great place to stay.

Beware that parking is not free, u is not inside the condo, another extra fee. There’s a container where they collect the sargassum right outside the main entrance and it smells terrible. The toilet started leaking the 4th day we got there, it didn’t get fixed right away. The power went out theee times during the week we stayed there. All fixtures in the condo are old, couldn’t use the grill because it was rusted and dirty. The only thing is the view and that it’s in of the beach. Next time I will pay for a hotel.

Beautiful Views

The condo is in a great location. It's a short walk to tons of shops and restaurants. It's also very close to the taxi stand. The view from the patio is awesome. The pool area is great and my kids and I enjoyed it several days in a row. The ocean is just steps away (we didn't swim in it because of all the seaweed, it was really thick). We walked on the beach to lunch restaurants and enjoyed drinks on the sand. The set up of the condo is great. I cooked breakfast in the kitchen each morning. The water cooler is a great perk. The beds were clean and everyone slept well. I did use the laundry room (machines are newer and worked well) and my teenager used the workout room and liked it. The master bath could use a good clean. There is lots of mold on the ceiling and in the shower. I know it's hard to keep things clean right on the beach like that but that is my only complaint. Benjamin (property manager) responded to us immediately when we called for more water. He is very helpful and kind. Overall, it's a great place with a spectacular view and a great location.

El Faro buena vista

El Faro Residence has a great view of the water and the island of Cozumel in the distance. The property is well maintained, has a beautiful pool area, direct access to the beach, and is very safe with private security. Five Star Property manage the unit we stayed in. They were easy to contact via phone/text and took care of any concerns. The unit was clean and nicely furnished. Playa Del Carmen was a great place for just relaxing or heading to other destinations (ruins, snorkeling excursions, etc.). We definitely recommend staying at El Faro with Five Star Property. Buen viaje!!
