Fabulous hotel and beach beach

I was very impressed with The Royal Hideway ! Excellent food , service and wonderful ocean views . The rooms are luxurious with robes and slippers furnished with a concierge in each building. 5 minutes to any activity on hotel grounds.Five Star hotel and service.

Paradise

This was our second trip to this resort. Still the same great place. Has been updated and rooms are very nicely appointed with comfy beds and pillows. Good was great with a wide variety to choose from. The staff work tirelessly to provide excellent service. Brenda, Brallan and Alberto provide excellent entertainment and the pool service is fantastic. The beach is beautiful and wide. There really is not a single complaint. Best vacation!

Amazing hotel and service

Amazing hotel and service. The food was exceptional as well. I was expecting a certain level of service and what to expect but all things about the hotel surpassed my expectations in many ways. I would definitely recommended this place to friends and family and would certainly return again. The only thing misleading is that the hotel advertises boating and snorkeling as a free service they offer, but it isn't necessarily true. It is an third party vendor and snorkeling equipment is the only thing truly free if you only use it for an hour. Besides that, I have no complaints and highly praise the hotel, servic, and cleanliness. They treat you like a royalty.

On The Beach

Pros: The hotel is right on the beach. William Monaldo (?) concierge was extremely helpful. The staff in every restaurant was great.
Cons: It would be nice if there was a place inside to play ping-pong, board game, etc during inclement weather.
Location: This time was just spent relaxing on the beach. However, the previous stays were spent on excursions and exploring the downtown area. Much to do!
My husband and I stayed September 22 - 28, 2017. This was our 3rd consecutive stay at the Royal Hide-away. This trip by far was my least favorite. Per my reservation agreement, there was to be VIP check-in, a $50 spa credit and a bottle of wine provided. I'm not sure what the VIP check-in included so, I can't say whether it was received or not. I can say the check-in was the same as it was the previous 2 visits. It took 3 days of asking to get the bottle of wine. I discovered during my checking out the $50 spa credit had not been applied to my bill. I had to remind them again it was part of my package. While I understand my stay was during off season I should not have to ask for bath towels each day. While cleaning the room, they would take the two bath cloths (previously requested) and either leave 1 or none at all. The worst part of the stay was the infestation (pics attached) of bugs in my room. It took several calls and a visit to the check-in desk before someone arrived 3 hours later to take care of the problem.

Beautiful, small beachfront hotel

This was our second stay at Royal Hideaway, the first since Barcelo bought it. There were some positive changes and some negative. Overall, the best part of this hotel is the size and location. It is small, quiet and on a beautiful section of the beach. It is perfect for a relaxing vacation, not so much if you are looking for a "Spring Break" atmosphere.

Adults only hotel

It's my first stay at RH, great service, welcoming staff. We we're excited in staying at Adults only hotel. The hotel itself is great, villa type. It's a great place if you want to just Relax, very low key adults. I wished they would serve authentic food, flavored food but hey! I get it! This is common in all inclusive hotels. The beach was beautiful, clean and private. Chances are that I would come back.

we got no wake up call on our last day , as requested. confusion when leaving, make check out smoother. room service always got our order wrong.

Nice Hotel

The staff were very nice. My husband and I had a great time at this Hotel. The food was really good and we met so many couples that they keep coming back to that hotel. I highly recommend it.
