The hotel looks cool. But most staff at the bar and snack bar are grumpy. Or seem like they dont want to be there. Maybe they are over worked. Not enough staff. Also the food at the restaurants is awful. It takes about 2 hours to have dinner. I wouldn't get all inclusive.

I loved the fact that the facility had a lot of nature, almost as if you were in the jungle. Also, the rooms were modern with a mini fridge, a nice shower, nice beds, and a balcony. The main thing I would say to improve is the food. The continental food options were edible, but sometimes were not as flavorful as expected. I would have wanted to see more traditional Mexican cruisine, like tamales, tacos, nachos, quesadillas, chicken and rice, and more.

This is not a large resort with a huge amount of options but I love the quaint feel here. Main dining room - buffet style is good & changed main dishes daily - food was good. Beach & pools were nice. Room was a good size & the setting is like a jungle. Staff are fantastic everywhere. I will be back for sure!!

Good value for the money. Very walkable property among treed paths with a large cenote. 15 minute walk to 5th avenue. The main restaurant area for buffet dining is spectacular with an ocean view and some exterior tables. The service was hit and miss depending on the waiters. Overall we weren’t disappointed.

The Reef was amazing. The staff were all very friendly & the property is absolutely beautiful. The resort offers several activities and we took part in several. By far my favorite activity was the Mayan purification ritual. We went into a hut to sweat out all of our toxins. The woman who conducts the ritual, Rosa, is amazing. We also had a massage which was top tier. Highly recommend both of these things if youre looking to relax. The property is within walking distance of a pharmacy, starbucks, bar, shopping area, 24 hour doctor and about a 5 min cab ride to 5th street. We have already started to plan our return for next year. Side note; I went to Mexico for dental work that i couldn't afford in the USA. Sani Dental was amazing. They are affordable and very professional. Its also within a 5 min cab ride from the Reef resort.

We stayed for 4 nights with kids and family. It is very family friendly but not many activities for kids. We loved the clean beach and pool areas, as well as the property being small enough to be able to walk back and forth. Our favorite bar tender was Alberto, he took good care of us. He was amazing and went above and beyond during our stay. The food was not great at all, not many selection and nothing great for kids to eat. It seemed old and reheated. The 2 restaurants they have serve very little food, we found ourselves going out of the hotel for dinner at times. The night entertainment is ok, not the best. The drinks are too sweet unless you ask for specific drinks to be made. No great liquor to choose from Definitely a big downside with no good food and drinks when you're paying for all inclusive

The main issue is the quality of the buffet...very limited choice, not even a real salad bar...meaning...often there were no actual lettuce at all. The morning didnt have a variety of fruit...only watermelon and cantaloup. You expect good fruit choices in the morning. All other meals were passable at best, not much variety or healthy choices. Can you imagine not having Taco on any day ? The hotel is nice, it's sad that the food brings it down for no valid reasons. We know buffer are never "wow" but there is a minimum that would have been easy to do.

The small, separate villas make it feel more like a village than a hotel. The property is beautiful. There were longer lines for meals than I remember in the past. Co-ordinating the resetting of tables and the service of coffee in the buffet dining hall sometimes went awry. The staff were wonderful throughout the complex. A couple of grumpy bartenders but otherwise very pleasant. Special commendation to the Señora who cooked out eggs most of the week and to our chambermaid in Villa #14! I was also delighted that they still have a small catamaran for guests to sail.

This resort has good staff for the most part . The staff in the Nico restaurant was rude and unprofessional. The food in the buffet was poor . Breakfast was the only good meal we had there . The room was nice 2 out of 4 days there was no hot water for shower . Overall it’s a nice property beach access was perfect . That was the most important thing for us .

I had a nice time, I loved the beach and I specifically chose this hotel because of beach and price. I would not stay here again though. Card to get into the room kept deactivating, water was cold and had to be fixed on first day. Sewage smell in the bathroom. And what most did it for me to not come back here was the food. I am not picky at all but wow was the food terrible. Only good thing was the omelette and fruit in the morning. Also, on the first day we were given a “great offer” to go to its sister hotel for a free breakfast .. of course I know nothing is “free” but we figured might as well… fortunately a nice guy overheard and found us a little later to tell us that the free breakfast would be followed by hours of trying to sell us something… considering we had two little kids with us, we felt it was inconsiderate to even attempt to get us to give up hours of our time. My vacation was amazing, but I’m sure staying somewhere else will make it even more amazing next time.

The resort had great ambience. The walk ways through between the villas are nice. Staff was friendly, however, there were several times we had to wait for food/drinks at the bars and snack shacks. To the point we would just go to another location or try again later. Everything shut down way earlier than expected/advertised. Food was good.

The food is terrible the service is horrible. It’s a tourist place but no one speaks English. The rooms smells bad they can’t do anything because it is from sewage. There is absolutely no accommodation I wouldn’t recommend to anyone to go the location is good but go to different hotel. The last day I had food poisoning from Mexican restaurant and that was cherry on top of this vacation

Our first time to a smaller resort and really enjoyed our stay with our toddler. Had both family-friendly groups and some other wedding or group party events. Good mixture of people, decent food, great beach, good kids pool. Overall good experience.
