"It was the first time staying at a smaller hotel, it felt nothing but 10/10 amazing experience. It was luxury surrounded by wonderful staff especially our amazing conceirge Ilana. I would recommend it again, there is lots of food to select from (some items need finessing though), hotel services were great quality with lots of different options for entertainment or just quiet time. "My husband and I had an amazing time at this resort. The property is beautiful, we loved being surrounded by the jungle and seeing animals every day. We also loved the adults-only saltwater pool that feeds from the ocean where you are surrounded by fish! We thought the food and buffet quality was excellent. We definitely plan to return in the future with kids one day! Highly recommend this resort, great for a couples getaway like we did or also great for families with kids."

"It’s a beautiful property with a modern feel. The room was spacious and very calming, nice bed. The all-inclusive food at the Mexican restaurant was excellent. Buffet breakfast very good. One of the servers and service the 1st night was below average (I reported it). The 1st morning I was awakened with a phone call at 9am (?!) by the concierge woman, offering me her services and help. This was completely inappropriate. They also run shuttles to their sister hotels with beaches. DO NOT go to Coco Beach. It’s ugly, and the environment is very downscale. The Playacar hotel partner is much nicer, and the beach is beautiful. Note that both sister properties have children. Also they’re 3 1/2 star hotels while Reef 28 is 4 1/2 stars. Go for the beach, but otherwise know they are lower-quality hotels."

"We visited Royal Haciendas March - April 2024. There were 6 of us, 4 adults and 2 children. We booked BD experience for transportation from and to the airport. I did not like that they picked us up 2 hours prior to the time that would have made sense to be picked up. Royal Haciendas have a travel agency you can book your the pick up and drop offs to the airport (no free shuttle). thomasmoretravel We enjoyed the property, the staff and the food. You can reserve dinners at the 2 restaurants they have. The food is delicious- not everything is included, but everything that is included is delicious anyway! The property is clean! The staff is super friendly! The buffet offered enough food for everyone to find things they like. (On the side note, i would have like to have desserts for breakfast too, i like to have some with my morning coffee) I would go back for sure! The only thing I was sad about is the beach. It has been damaged by Hurricanes and has not been fixed yet. The property has plans on fixing it - but they are waiting for government approval. Honestly we will only book again, once the beach is fixed, since i prefer to be on the beach."
