Perfect Location

Pros: Professional staff,excellent room with all amenities,great location for station,town and football ground.
Hotel was only a five minute walk from the station and close to the town centre.Nice walk through the park to the football ground. Hotel was first class and i would recomend people to stay there.

Hotel fairly central

Pros: The hotel staff are friendly and efficient.
Cons: The hotel needs modernising.
Location: The location of the hotel is fairly central to all the interesting places to visit in Plymouth.
This hotel looks tired and needs updating. Reception is on the first floor. The room was disappointing, small, again needs updating, no air con just a fan light that looked unsafe when turned on. No free Wifi, surprising in this day and age. Breakfast staff were very friendly and efficient but the breakfast itself was under cooked and barely warm.

Perfectly situated

We found this hotel to be clean, helpful staff and a decent sized room. Quite happy. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that but certainly no complaints.

Very tired

This hotel is in desperate need of a refurb - the decor is very dated (70's). There isn't air conditioning in the rooms - it was 16 degree when we stayed and the room was very stuffy even with the windows open.

We have recently commenced a number of replacement programs which will definitely achieve this as the year progresses. Unfortunately, this will not include the insertion of airconditioning as the building design does not allow for this. We are however replacing the current ceiling fans with a more modern version which will be more effective. Pros: Location, cleanliness and friendliness of staff.
Cons: Air Con would be nice but the room did have a ceiling fan and, another desk top fan.
Location: One minute walk and you are in the city centre - a wide variety of things to do and see in Plymouth.
The room was very comfortable and very clean and quiet. . Staff very friendly. Great location and own parking which was a bonus. convenient. Centre of Plymouth very easy to walk to as well as the Barbican area - in fact all areas of shopping and tourism close.

Obviously a nice hotel in its day.

Now it needs serious remodernisation. Beds are too small, bedrooms are reasonably clean but very rough round the edges. Food was just okay but nothing to write home about.

Nothing to see

Location: Nothing
We had no tv, the price went up out of our range because they had a tour in, so if you are thinking of going check first on price. There is nothing to see close by if you are just walking.

Pleasant and friendly hotel

Pros: Comfort of the beds. Friendly staff.
Cons: A lick of paint.
Location: Right in the centre of Plymouth.
We were made to feel very welcome. The room was lovely, but a little dated. Very comfortable and clean. Staff were exceptionally helpful.

Very pleasant an friendly hotel.

We have stayed at the copthorne plymouth for several years now, the staff are always polite and friendly. The hotel needed a bit of an update ,which they are now in the prosess of . Location is bang on for shops and railway station. This year we had a small refrigerator which was very handy .all in all it was handy for what we needed.
