Broken pool and unfriendly staff

We selected this hotel over others because of the pool. They don't offer free breakfast so it was sort of a trade off. But the pool was broken and the staff wasn't very friendly. The rooms seemed clean enough but at one point we discovered a dead mouse on a glue strip under the bed. Never staying here again.

Management didn't seem to want to help quickly when there was a problem, and the bed was very uncomfortable.

Good, eventual great

They are doing a LOT of renovations. You could tell it was THE hotel back in the day and when the renovations are finished, it will be again. I'll stay at this property in the future. The staff was great too.

Had a family reunion they were great we did a lot of in and out of each other's rooms they were very understanding

Room supplies non existant

Pros: Not much!
Cons: Everything
Location: Location OK for intended use.
There were no facial tissue and there was not enough of toilet tissue-empty rolls with no back up. There was no list of TV channels and appropriate way to tune in even after they came and fixed the TV and the response was I do not know how to find the channels. large enough room but bathroom was very small and there was no way for two people to use the bathroom at the same time for a mirror or anything. there was no plug for coffee maker in the cabinet set up and it did not work when you moved it to a plugin. The coffee tray was dirty. The bed pillows were not a standard size they were half size at best! NIce design of facility as a whole but it was but efficiency of the design was a failure. The only bright spot was the fellow who ran the breakfast. however, you had to have a ticket for the breakfast which wa laid out to be nice but there was no decaf coffee available, the eggs were rubbery and two f the three waffle makers were broken and out of order, The sausage was good and the gravy also.The breakfast potatoes were dried out and not edible. Having been a regional manager of a hospitality company I would have fired the existing manager on site and temporarily promote the assistant manage and then ordered a team in to fix this property. Hotel was nice. Pool was freezing! Indoor pool but definitely not heated. I heard from another guest that pool heater was broken but never heard anything from the staff. On a happier note, bartender at the lounge was very nice! I ordered a roll away bed after our check in & it was delivered very quickly to our room. overall a great stay kids anticipated the pool & were disappointed.

Booked thru Expedia. I got the date wrong on the reservation, we showed up at 11:15 pm the NEXT evening. Much of the hotel was undergoing off season renovation. The desk clerk cancelled our no- show charges and got us into rooms for the original fee, upgrading is to king rooms since the Queen's were unavailable. Process took about 15 minutes, during which she assured us that she would get us rooms, even if she had to send us to another hotel. Made an "out of comfort zone" experience very comfortable for us. She solved a problem I caused, and made us feel very comfortable as she did it. And the hotel is great!

Pros: Front desk was friendly. Close to a lot of restaurants and the freeway.
Cons: Hotel needs to spray for elm bugs and improve lighting in the rooms.
Checked in at Red Lion for a one night stay in Pocatello. It's close to a lot of restaurants and convenience stores. The indoor pool had bugs in it and the hot tub was luke warm. Our room lighting was very dim, and for some reason had a lot of elm bugs everywhere. Since I wasn't in the hotel room much, I didn't make a fuss, but I definitely won't stay there next time I am in town due to the bugs.
