Fine location, cramped lobby space

Pros: Friendly staff, nice, updated flooring instead of carpet, pets allowed with nice dog-walking area.
Cons: Shower head, heating system, air freshener placement at eye-level.
Location: Sage Diner has quite a good breakfast.
Greetings! The lobby was cramped with customers upon arrival; the check in process proved to be slow, but I eventually worked my way to the end of the counter to wait my turn. As I was looking at some brochures, the counter air-freshener sprayed me directly in the chest, neck, and face. Certainly nobody's fault or intention, but staff may want to reconsider the placement of this unit. On the plus side, I was freshly scented for the evening. Though the wall heater did not work, we were provided a space heater by a friendly staff person, and had a cozy evening watching a movie on HBO.

Hotel floor was dirty and sticky. Bathroom door wouldn't close properly. The bed was relaxin and tv had good channels. Fridge looked dirty.

Room was clean. Nice bed & pillows. Plenty of parking. Door to bathroom was not able to be closed.

Be FORWARNED

I'm sorry to say but this was the WORST hotel stay I've had in decades. BEWARE of the SMELL in the room/building. It was AWFUL! I booked for 2 nights but after a very sleepless first night I could not stay one more hour in this room/hotel. To give credit to the staff (nice gentleman) he did offer me another room but, based on other reviews, it's not the room that smells, its the building, with the location possibly attributing to the odor? The odor was SO BAD that I took the air freshener out of my vehicle and placed it on the room ac/heat fan - where someone had already placed one.

This hotel wins - THE MOST DISGUSTING HOTEL EVER

The health department should visit this place! It was filthy. The bathroom was moldy and there were silverfish and other bugs all over the place. Secondly, the breakfast was pathetic - a few types of muffins an waffle batter. Just NOT ACCEPTABLE.

Very dirty room. Mold, hair and the last guest who stayed there soap still in the shower. The room also smelled bad. Only bright spot was the man who checked us in.
