Needs complete overhaul!

Pros: It is right off the highway and turnpike
Cons: Everything. Staff, needs a remodel, clean the pool, mow the grass
Location: About 15 minutes away is Lake Harmony that is very lovely.
I will never stay at this hotel again. The majority of the staff is very rude. The only reason why I gave this place 2 stars is for the few staff members that were super friendly and helpful. The whole place is dingy with stains everywhere. I was afraid to sit on the couch in our room. The spare blanket in our room was dry rotted. We did not have a "Do Not Disturb" placard. I did not see one elevator and to get any where, it seemed that you had to walk for miles. THERE ARE VERY FEW DIRECTIONAL SIGNS, so it is easy to get lost. I will say that the food at the restaurant was ok although the service was not good. At the little shop they have, the woman working was fantastic! The pool water was super cloudy and looked like it had a film on the surface. You have to sign out a hair dryer so take one with you if you don't feel comfortable doing that. I am sure it would be better to bring your own considering the rest of the place, I am not sure I would trust their hair dryers. There was some sort of terrible leak in the ceiling in one of the hallways. Stains in the majority of ceilings. This is the worst review I have ever given. It is such a shame that this place is in the condition it is. The landscaping wasn't even done. There was high grass all over the property. The tennis and basketball courts were dilapidated. OH, and no WIFI in the rooms? Only in the lobby and it was awful service. Terrible!!!

A Hidden Gem in the Poconos

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Outdated? I prefer Vintage. The resort had a family owned/run feeling and not a corporate assembly line feel. My daughter's, 12 and 14, rated it "Top Notch" and they were being genuine. I thought this rating would change after we visited Split Rock and took them to Guy Fieri's restaurant in Mount Airy, but they, and my wife and I preferred Mountain Laurel. Could it use a little sprucing up and better WiFi.... yes, but other than that I wouldn't change a thing. We tried to book the week of 4/10/17, but unfortunately all of the rooms are sold out. That tells you something!

GREAT MOUNTAIN EXPERIENCE LODGE

THIS IS A NICE CLEAN LODGE, HUGE, LOT OF THINGS TO DO IN IT AND AROUND NEAR, GREAT SERVICE AND HAPPY AND LOVELY ATTENDANTS. I RENTED A 2 ROOM VILLA WITH ALL THE FACILITIES OF A HOME SUCH AS KITCHEN LIVING ROOM, BALCONY, THEY EVEN TROW IN ALL THE KITCHEN HARDWARE, ITS WELL LOCATED AND THE PRICE IS A BARGIN FOR ALL THATS INCLUDED. DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED.

Good bang for the buck

Hotel seemed a little outdated, not too many amenitites in the room (ex: no coffee maker), but otherwise nice and clean.

The elevators were down, the ice machine out of order. The room was ice cold at arrival and then became unbearably hot with no comfortable setting. We could not use the bath tub.

My stay was great. My teenage boys enjoyed all the amenities from indoor/outdoor pools,arcade,billiards bonus split rock resort included. Nonstop fun The lobby was beautiful and inviting. Can't wait to go back.

Great place good price

Pros: Staff,clean hotel,lots activities
Cons: Only fix the playground for the little kids
Location: Good areas.the only bad is not good restaurants
Everything was fine and we do lots activities everything was great. Nice vacations the hotel and the around areas are great for the family.

Had a fun stay at the resort short and sweet, bad weather but really enjoyed the resort and all the actives.
