Why?

Posted Mar 23, 2017
Pros: Family
Cons: Everything
Location: In March...nothing
We were excited to experience the Pocono Palace for the first time, but quickly found our excitement erased by a dower front desk staff, slow check in, a severely dated room that lacked any modern conveniences and cleanliness. Sadly, we could never recommend this property.

Anniversary Getaway

Posted Mar 4, 2017
Stayed here for our anniversary and it was a great trip. Very peaceful. I ordered the Fairway room and it was cool. Due to not having hot water on our second night , we were upgraded to the Fantasy Apple room at no charge. This room blew our minds. The room is amazing !!!! Jacuzzi was better. The room had its own private pool as well as its own sauna. The Bose surround system was a plus. I wish I would've known about this room before because I would've definitely booked it. There was shuttle service ans due to not having a card it was super helpful. We were picked up from the bus station , as well as driven to Perkins and to CVS. It as super helpful. We didn't get a chance to do activities due to the weather and there not being enough snow , but there are fun things to do on the resort. My girlfriend and I took were able to take photos with the photographer - who was very friendly. When I booked my room , I didn't book with meals - so I payed separately for food. Breakfast was cool. Dinner was alright - wished there were options and a full buffet. Overall , the experience was an amazing one. I would definitely come back for another trip. Loved it and the staff ! Special thanks to Joe , Rob and Ray !

Congratulations on your most recent anniversary! We're humbled you would choose to spend such an important occasion in the Land of Love and even happier to read you had a great stay. The Fantasy Apple tends to amaze most folks- with 3 levels, an in-suite pool, and breath-taking view of Lake Echo, it's easy to see why. We certainly do hope to see you return in the future and enjoy more of what Pocono Palace has to offer!

Nice couples getaway

Posted Feb 7, 2017
The Resorts have been around for awhile. Overall it's a intimate fun getaway. We go back every year. Breakfast and dinner is included. Food is ok not gourmet.Activities are also included . There are games entertainment if you want to join in. Champagne towers are very spacious and have your own pool in the room along with fire place, sauna and massage table. You can do activities at any of the resorts.

Romantic getaway

Posted Feb 2, 2017
Cons: Everything except drinks should be included in all inclusive. Not extra for many activities in the game room etc.
Location: Visited the Indian museum, about 2 miles away.
Without snow in the winter there is not a lot to do. Skiing and snow tubing are the main attractions. Indoor activities leave in the main lodge are very limited and need to be updated. Few activities are free, most have an extra charge. The room (Garden Apple) was clean with all the bells and whistles. The rug needed replacement The food was excellent. Very relaxing time.

Thank you for your feedback. Actually, many of our activities are free. It's disappointing to read you were unaware of this and perhaps this is something we need to better explain to our guests at check-in. We're glad you enjoyed your time at the resort otherwise and found the food very enjoyable.

We stayed in the roman room which was absolutely perfect- heart jacuzzi, champagne glass jacuzzi, sauna, etc. I loved every second of it and will definitely be returning! A hotel for couples only though!

Ups & Downs.. I Don't Know

Posted Jan 17, 2017
This was our 4th or 5th visit to the resort. We were able to use the snowmobiles which was epic. The staff, amazing per usual. We only ended up ordering from Spooners as a staff member recommended skipping the dinner lol. If we werent the type to sleep in late I would of tried the international breakfast buffet. Sounded yummy. So Our 1st meal at Spooners was a wreck. Fries were inedible but that was corrected the next day. Still unsure if Im allowed to tip as the 1st delivery person said its hurt the kitchen yet the other 1 accepted a tip the day after seeming down When he delivered earlier in the day. I guess my biggest complaint would be the heart tub in our fantasy apple suite. Spending time in there was something we REALLY Looked forward to especially because its winter time and our room was far from the public jacussis. At some point on the trip I injured my back and was hoping to soak in the Epsom salt We got from the local cvs. As my gf turned on the tub, the worst odor of feces and boiled eggs filled our room. We smelled the water. Nothing. It was the tub. I dont know what was done there before we got there but I can honestly say it smelled like some1 flat out took a dump. My girlfriend even scrubbed the bottom with soap and conditioner. Nothing. I refused to go anywhere near it after that so yea our trip was kind of dampened. While I love the atmosphere and the people, what I was offered this time around for over 1200$ wasnt worth it.

We're sorry to read about the issue you dealt with and disappointed anyone on our staff would make such a suggestion. Our dinner menus are very popular since we revamped them in the Fall. We encourage you to try the food the next time.

Fun friendly resort

Posted Jan 16, 2017
Pros: The friendly staff, beautiful surroundings and many activities.
Cons: Hot water is an issue when several rooms are trying to use their hot tub especially at the same time. We ran out of hot water before tub was full.
From check in to check out the staff was very friendly and efficient. Check in process only took a few minutes and probably took longer because I had questions. Check out was even quicker as we didn't have to go to the desk it was all done automatically. We stayed in a lakeside chalet and had a beautiful view out our window. We really enjoyed the entertainment both Friday and Saturday nights....the comedians on Friday were very good. Really the only negatives were the lack of enough hot water so several rooms could use their tubs simultaneously. We ran out of hot water with tub about a quarter full. Asked our neighbors in the morning and they had the same issue. The other negative would be the food it was rather expensive and not really that good. We tried the breakfast buffet and the eggs were cold and not cooked long enough, the sausage was way over cooked. All in all though it was a very enjoyable weekend and we will be going back this spring or summer and try the summer activities.

We're happy to read our staff could make such an impression on you during your stay and you had an overall great experience. We're disappointed a couple items were not convenient and will share this information with our Dining Room manager and our Maintenance Manager to review. We can't wait to see you back in warmer weather!

Hmmm

Posted Jan 10, 2017
Pros: Waiters and waitresses were nice. The alcohol beverages were mixed very well. The resort is located less than 3 miles away from shopping center.
Cons: Conclusion: I probably won't ever attend this place again. Unless they renovate and/or offer more for your bucks.
Location: Do not expect to get liquor free. Besides room, events, activities, and food, the all inclusive price only include soft drinks (juice, soda, etc).
Event: When we arrived at the hotel we were told to go reserve our seats for the new years event. When we went to reserve our seat we had great seating options available so we were happy. Tell me how we (my girlfriend and I) were forced to have 2 other people seated with us at our table. The hotel never told us this would happen. When we looked around, we saw it being done to everyone and they looked just as surprise as we did. One couple even got up and left. This was not cool, they could have warned everyone. You're thinking romantic bonding with your significant other only to be sharing the table with 2 other strangers. And to make it worse the spacing was horrible. You couldn't even push your seat out enough to be comfortable or you would end up backing into the person seated behind you. It also had nothing but older couples. I only seen maybe 3 couples that appeared to be in their mid 20s to mid 30s. Everyone else definitely appeared to be between 45 and 75. Hotel Room: The room made the website's room pics look like the New Yorker Hotel rooms. Everything in the room is outdated. The rug was dirty, the tv was old as ever (not even flat screen), and the heart shape tub was pretty lame. The motors for the tub were out so we basically just sat there. One of the motors were loud as ever. Then eventually just blew out. The toilet did not work and when I lifted up back to look inside the tank, it appeared to be a known issue. There was a rag on the pump inside the tank
