Lovely place with outstanding staffs. The lady at the front desk will make you feel welcomed and resolve any problems you have with yoir room right away. The room is outdated, and they can do much better with minor updades to the rooms.

Very old , run down , Delaware house side door wasn’t secure , door hand rotted out anyone could’ve walked in .. water leak in hallway leafy to our room ??

Love everything about the grounds. Facility is old and need a facelift. Bathrooms definitely need renovations, beds are old need new, modern, comfortably ones. Rooms need a face lift.

Thank you for the review Desrene! Our team/management/ownership is always looking at areas of improvement. Some of our guest rooms received a refresh last year. We did recently (and are still) working on some of our event spaces. We hope to have more projects completed in the near future. :)

No Up Keeping or Maintenance Services! No up keeping in room: the blinds in the bathroom needed to be replaced, they were broken and didn’t stay up or down on its own without it coming apart. The fitness room was Horrible!!!! Out of the 3 cardio machines only one worked and it was rusty. The weight plates on the main workout machine were broken in 2 pieces across the board for several exercises, it’s actually very unsafe, you could only do a very light set or very heavy set of exercises. The free weights were ancient, with the plastic ripped off, it was the worse amenity in the location. The pool and jacuzzi was not working but we were able to go to a neighbor location - the Wyndham to use it. On our second day we attempted that and it was out of order and the pool seemed to be full with kids, we didn’t even attempt to do it. Stayed 3 nights, 1 King bed room was a bit claustrophobic after a while, needed to stay in the room mostly because kids running around everywhere and at night, couldn’t get away from kids. Me and my girlfriend went for President’s week and didn’t realize kids would be everywhere, even in the bar for the first night we went there just upon arriving. So if you want a peaceful getaway without kids check first before you book. Room service for cleaning was good, bartender at River Room restaurant was very sociable, the Brewery was the best part! Breakfast overpriced! One microwave was available in the first floor for the whole hotel.

Looks picture perfect from the outside - really beautiful but needs repair. Rooms out dated, needs some TLC. We were sent to a renovated part of the hotel didn’t seem renovated at all! But we loved the grounds, the bonfire, Shawnee brewery, key and gemstone and Shawnee general store all so close! Fabulous for families as you can walk everywhere. ShawneeCraft is on the property and was our favorite place of all! Amazing live music and beers and friendly people! Very family friendly resort overall. So close to skiing and tubing. Who could want more? Rooms are small and out dated but we had a blast anyway!

Be careful chosing a double queen room. They orginally placed my family and I in the delaware lodge just because it houses the only rooms with queen beds. Well the lodge is far from the main building, very spooky (reminded me of old slave quarters yoid see in the south) and it didnt even have a ice machine! The next morning we were moved into the main building where the rooms were smaller but it was nicer. The bathroom layout is compact and the toilet paper holder is behind the toilet, which was weird*

We stayed here because it was super close to Shawnee Ski Mountain. The staff was super friendly. We received, every evening, freshly baked cookies. No complaints at all. Restaurant staff in hotel was super friendly, food was food. Also, restaurants close by.

The property was old and poorly maintained. There was no towels in the pool and kids were playing American football in it throwing the ball all over the walkable section of the pool. The pool shower was broken and we had to walk away. Front desk staff was new and was helpless.

We loved the Christmas decorations and smores by the campfire. It was a fun and festive visit. Our room was pretty small, but the bed was really comfortable. We will come back again for sure.

It’s so peaceful and so beautiful anytime of the year we go. We had problems with the TV our entire stay and the person in the next room coughed and sneezed all night like they were in the same room with us. I think it’s time for some upgrades.

I would definitely come back to the Shawnee Resort because it really was a beautiful experience. However, there were definitely something’s that got frustrating. First thing I have to say is the night manager Lasett (I’m sorry I don’t know how to spell her name) showed phenomenal customer service and was extremely accommodating to my girlfriend and I. Due to an occasion, my girlfriend and I came at 1am in the morning and the Shawnee Inn was accommodating to that. However, it was very frustrating knowing that we could have come at 1pm the day before, but was told I was unable to because there were no rooms open. Which was not the case and was told to us at check in which was a little aggravating because I paid for a day that we weren’t even there. Second thing is I booked a couples massage and was called the the day before check in that they had no one avabliable so they had to credit my massages. Later on in the day, we walked into the Spa asking if they had openings and they did. The women (Unfortunately I forgot her name) that did my girlfriends and I massage was incredible. I know she stated she was the manager of the Spa and also showed amazing customer service. In regards to the room, we got what we paid. The AC would not cool the room so we had to open a window. Regardless of all that, our experience truly was amazing and we had a great get away. Very family friendly and despite the little mishaps we are defiantly coming back.

The trip started off a little disappointing when the desk clerk mentioned the champagne I ordered ruining the surprise. Dinner in the steakhouse was over all disappointing. The brewer and pizza was excellent. What was really upsetting is I booked the trip to rest and despite check out being at 11 and having a do not disturb sign hanging on my door, housekeeping still knocked on the door at 8:30 am waking us up.
