Old and outdated with leaks, smells and poor food.

Location: Not much to do nearby but we made the best of it. We visited the Indian Museum, Flea market, and Bushkill Falls which was gorgeous and a must see!
The room and hallway leading to it had an odor of mold, the wallpaper was being held up by chewing gum and staples the furniture in the room was torn and outdated. The amenities they offered were great, however the equipment and indoor activities area were in rough shape. The pool area was nice. The entertainment was even better!!! The food was horrible. We opted for all inclusive and found ourselves eating out for dinner often. The staff was very friendly and you saw the same faces everyday. It almost looks like they never leave. They work very hard day and night. The bar area was okay the drinks are very expensive even with happy hour!

Thank you for your feedback. We would like to look into the suite you stayed in so we can verify and address the issues you mentioned. We certainly don't believe in staples or chewing gum as a resolution to keeping a resort in shape and take feedback like this very seriously.

Seedy Stay!

The facility is dated and tacky. While there's a lot offered to do, the equipment is dated, broken or worn. Rugs are dirty and threadbare, the buildings are rotted in places and in need of paint, and th furniture doesn't seem to have ever been replaced or updated. Do Not book online because whatever request you make won't be honored. They said I should've called instead to be sure my room was quiet. Instead we were Above the club and couldn't be in our room until after midnight as we couldn't even have a conversation due to the noise. They refused to move me.

The Pocono palace is dated and in need of repairs

Pros: Friendly staff. beautiful lake although small.
Cons: Buildings and grounds could use some cosmetic repairs. Buildings are looking old and run down.
Location: Bushkill Falls was beautiful , Mount Airy Casino is also close if you want to gamble
We knew that the Pocono Palace was an old place but it could use some updating a repairs done to it. You can see rotted boards on buildings, and cracked pillars and steps on the buildings. We originally booked the Lakeside Chalet but could not see the lake due to tree blockage. Room was small and not very private so we paid to upgrade our room. The staff was friendly and the food was ok. Would liked to have seen a better selection on the dinner meals. Plenty to do here around the hotel. Spent a day hiking Bushkill falls which was beautiful.

Thank you for your feedback. We're in the process of making some great changes to the resort. We recently completed landscaping projects, parking lot pavings, and roof replacements on our Champagne Tower Suites. We will continue working on additional updates into next year.

Expensive but enjoyed the one time experience.

Pros: The Champagne Tower.
Cons: Staff should have checked the room to see what needed to be repaired before the next guest arrived.
Location: We went to the casino, wine tasting, boutiques, and a flea market.
The room we stayed in was nice. The hot tub, pool in the room was very relaxing. The shower door was off the bottom track and a light bulb was out but it wasn't a big deal. We enjoyed the entertainment, food and atmosphere. I think the price was very high. However, to have the type of room and experience the hot tub and pool was an experience we both enjoyed. I would come back again but stay in a cheaper room as you can still enjoy all the other activities.

Nice resort

Good entertainment, lots of activities and overall a nice place for couples to go to get away. However, the rooms are very dated and a lot of things were broke or weren't working in our room (shower door, lights). Check in was at 3 and the room wasn't ready until 4:30. A little disappointed with that since we just drove over 3 hours to get there.

romantic getaway with a bust

The hotel overall was a great experience to share with your significant other. My fiancé purchased the Roman towers which are considered the best suites of the location. The room itself was amazing, all the included amenities inside truly can make a weekend getaway romantic. I would say that I felt the rooms could've been much more cleaner. The pool did not appear to be cleaned prior to our stay and the bed sheets are that old/new smell. The water activities are literally at your own risk. The staff was not friendly and did not provide much feedback after you signed the waiver. The water equipment (row boat and paddle boat) extremely old and rusted!!!! Breakfast and dinner were decent. I would recommend you going to eat for dinner prior to 8 pm because they run out of options!!!!! The entertainment could definitely have been better. If you're young the entertainment is not for you! They definitely do try to accommodate everyone however, the entertainment had an old people cruise feel to it. Overall, you could certainly have a romantic stay with your partner and there are plenty of things to do off the resort as some of the staff aren't too engaging and the activities are outdated.

Disappointing Overnight Stay

Pros: Our Apple Fantasy room had a private pool, which was the reason we booked the hotel.
Cons: With the exception of the dining wait staff, the staff were either rude or unaccommodating.
Location: The location is the best part about this resort. It's on a lake, and there are a lot of shops nearby. It's also an easy drive to the falls.
Some of our best vacations have taken place at aging facilities, so we weren't overly concerned when we saw pictures taken by other guests. We should have taken their other concerns more seriously. We weren't able to check in at the check-in time indicated on our Expedia paperwork (3:00), and the front desk staff didn't call to let us know when the room became available, even though they said they would. The next morning, we went to get coffee, and the maintenance staff pushed in front of us (the only two people at the coffee station), to empty the trash before we put milk and sugar in our coffee. We didn't bother to stay for the included breakfast, but forgot to pack my cell phone charger when we left. I called the front desk to ask them to return it to me by mail, and they claimed they'd call, but I still haven't heard back from them. I've never written a negative review before, but this facility should have done better. I've been treated much better in facilities where I've paid a fraction of the cost. I would never recommend this experience to a friend.
