Romantic get-away in the mountains

Posted Nov 20, 2016
Pros: Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was nice and had plenty of towels and toiletries.
Cons: I would have loved a loveseat to snuggle on by the fire. The seating was either a small table and chairs or a split couch with a table in-between.
Location: Bushkill Falls is not a far drive from Pocono Palace.
My boyfriend and I took a much needed fall retreat after our hectic work schedules kept us apart for a good part of the summer. We stayed in a Lakeside cabin with a great view of the lake. The accommodations were clean. We loved the heart-shaped tub and the fireplace was a nice romantic touch. Pocono Palace provides ample activities to keep you occupied for your visit, and it is just a short drive from area attractions such as Bushkill Falls.

Are you kidding????

Posted Nov 8, 2016
Pros: Nothing! It was so old and filthy, we couldn't even stay. After driving 5 hours due to great online photos, we had to find somewhere else to stay! Unbelievable!!!
Cons: It was completely old and dirty!! You couldn't have paid us to stay there! The rooms stunk, had bugs floating in the hot tubs, stains on the floor, the bathtubs had not been clean!! Absolutely horrible!!! I have absolutely no clue why anyone in their right mind would stay there!

We're sorry to read your experience was not enjoyable- this is not a typical experience our guests have and we would like to look into the suite you stayed in so we can make sure it's in the condition we expect all of our suites to be in.

love it!

Pros: The hotel room, activities, and food
Cons: I honestly am quite satisfied with everything. I feel igot my money worth.
Location: The location has great views on the grounds especially in the dining area of the lake. There's other bars and restraurants down the road but we stayed
I was honestly impressed with my room and the activities that were offered on location at the hotel. (Stayed in the champagne tower). There were many things to do and my room was the coolest room I've ever stayed in. I chose the all inclusive package with the meals included and had no regrets as the food was great and different every night. The breakfasts were all good and there was plenty to eat. I highly recommend this place and look forward to coming back for another stay next year. The front desk as long as the rest of the employees were helpful, pleasant, and social.

Old and outdated with leaks, smells and poor food.

Posted Oct 5, 2016
Location: Not much to do nearby but we made the best of it. We visited the Indian Museum, Flea market, and Bushkill Falls which was gorgeous and a must see!
The room and hallway leading to it had an odor of mold, the wallpaper was being held up by chewing gum and staples the furniture in the room was torn and outdated. The amenities they offered were great, however the equipment and indoor activities area were in rough shape. The pool area was nice. The entertainment was even better!!! The food was horrible. We opted for all inclusive and found ourselves eating out for dinner often. The staff was very friendly and you saw the same faces everyday. It almost looks like they never leave. They work very hard day and night. The bar area was okay the drinks are very expensive even with happy hour!

Thank you for your feedback. We would like to look into the suite you stayed in so we can verify and address the issues you mentioned. We certainly don't believe in staples or chewing gum as a resolution to keeping a resort in shape and take feedback like this very seriously.

Seedy Stay!

Posted Sep 27, 2016
The facility is dated and tacky. While there's a lot offered to do, the equipment is dated, broken or worn. Rugs are dirty and threadbare, the buildings are rotted in places and in need of paint, and th furniture doesn't seem to have ever been replaced or updated. Do Not book online because whatever request you make won't be honored. They said I should've called instead to be sure my room was quiet. Instead we were Above the club and couldn't be in our room until after midnight as we couldn't even have a conversation due to the noise. They refused to move me.

Nice, but could use a little upgrading

Posted Sep 6, 2016 on Hotels
Staff was amazing and the pictures accurately reflect the rooms. That said, it's a little tacky. Needs some solid upgrades. Would recommend giving it a try but it's not for everyone.

The Pocono palace is dated and in need of repairs

Posted Sep 2, 2016
Pros: Friendly staff. beautiful lake although small.
Cons: Buildings and grounds could use some cosmetic repairs. Buildings are looking old and run down.
Location: Bushkill Falls was beautiful , Mount Airy Casino is also close if you want to gamble
We knew that the Pocono Palace was an old place but it could use some updating a repairs done to it. You can see rotted boards on buildings, and cracked pillars and steps on the buildings. We originally booked the Lakeside Chalet but could not see the lake due to tree blockage. Room was small and not very private so we paid to upgrade our room. The staff was friendly and the food was ok. Would liked to have seen a better selection on the dinner meals. Plenty to do here around the hotel. Spent a day hiking Bushkill falls which was beautiful.

Thank you for your feedback. We're in the process of making some great changes to the resort. We recently completed landscaping projects, parking lot pavings, and roof replacements on our Champagne Tower Suites. We will continue working on additional updates into next year.

Expensive but enjoyed the one time experience.

Posted Aug 30, 2016
Pros: The Champagne Tower.
Cons: Staff should have checked the room to see what needed to be repaired before the next guest arrived.
Location: We went to the casino, wine tasting, boutiques, and a flea market.
The room we stayed in was nice. The hot tub, pool in the room was very relaxing. The shower door was off the bottom track and a light bulb was out but it wasn't a big deal. We enjoyed the entertainment, food and atmosphere. I think the price was very high. However, to have the type of room and experience the hot tub and pool was an experience we both enjoyed. I would come back again but stay in a cheaper room as you can still enjoy all the other activities.

Thank you for your feedback! We're happy your overall stay was enjoyable and you liked the entertainment, food, and atmosphere. We recommend you check out all the suites we offer- sometimes, bigger is not always better for guests and a cozier suite is to your liking. We hope to see you back in the near future!
