I’ve seen prison cells bigger than our room. Good luck if you’re over six feet trying to get a good night’s sleep on their miniature double bed placed in an area barely big enough to hold it. The good news? The TV was brand new. The bad news? Why is there a protective plastic sheet ( complete with EPA energy rating still affixed to the screen? That serves as a perfect example of everything else wrong. The bathroom door was splintered on the bottom and stained with, well I had no idea. There were stains on the shower ceiling. Was it mold? I don’t know. The water was ice cold and the towels were as rough as sandpaper ( as was the toilet paper). The wooden stairs leading to the second level looked worn and splintered. Amenities? Yes there were if you consider a tiny microwave on a ledge in the office area and a broken coffee maker with no actual coffee pot. I guess if the choice was between sleeping in your car or this place, you would. Then again your car is probably a lot cleaner. My advice: avoid this place at all costs.

We booked last minute due to issue at another place. The bathroom was filthy—we did not shower as it had dirt and hair in the shower. There was a lot of activity on foot in and around the parking lot when we pulled in and were unloading the car etc. We were exhausted so we did stay in the room to sleep after contemplating just driving home

The room was dirty. Had to clean bathroom prior to use...Towels dirty...Got called in for work unexpectedly. Turned in room key and asked to cancel 2nd day. Was informed by the clerk to contact Expedia. Tried to take care of this through app, but was denied saying time for cancellation had expired.

Possibly the worst motel I've ever been to
I failed to read the reviews before staying here. If you're reading this, you can still save yourself. This is clearly a place that has done the bare minimum to stay in business. Yes, it has a bed--but it's basically just springs over fabric and blankets that are so thin you can see straight through them. Yes, it has AC, but it's covered in something that looks like mold. Yes, it has a bathroom, and it has been (partially) cleaned by someone, but not so much that it feels clean. Yes, it has a door, but it doesn't close flush, so it can't keep out bugs. I felt gross staying here. I got in close to midnight, so it didn't occur to me go somewhere else right away. I tried to sleep--and mostly failed--until about 6:45. Then I immediately booked a different hotel for the next night and checked out as early as possible--even though I had already paid for another night here. The owner/teller redirected me to Expedia to get my money back for one night (and presumably free up the room for them so they could rent it again). I couldn't find any phone number to call and was too tired to hunt for it. Now that I got home and read the reviews, I'm also terrified that I might have bed bugs. I threw out my backpack and suit case. To be clear, I didn't actually see evidence of bed bugs, but I'm so skeeved out from everything else that it's driving me crazy. I had stayed at Motel 6's before--a long time ago--and they weren't great, but they were manageable. After this, never again.

What is this stuff on the AC?

I don’t leave negative reviews, but need to warn people of this property. The pictures are not accurate to the reality of what it is. My son and I came down on a Friday night for an early early Saturday event. We checked in at 10pm & should have left after seeing bullet proof glass at the desk This property needs to be bulldozed. There is no rehab that could improve it. The external areas are dilapidated. The room itself smelled of pot smoke & vinegar, and was by far the most disgusting place I’ve ever stayed in. The floor was a filthy sticky. Bathroom tiles & fixtures were dirty or broken. Switches and outlets were painted over. The room looks like it was painted by a toddler. Management will apologize and promise to do better, but for $145/night it was an unreal experience. My son and I woke up to barking dogs at 4:30 a.m. and were gone by 5. To management: Stop apologizing. Invest in the property, demolish it or sell it to someone who will.

It was a convenient location, that's it. I could barely understand the accent of the desk clerk, and the office was tucked away. My parking space had very little space behind it to turn around. The room was the smallest I have ever seen. The bathtub had no grab bars at all, and I didn't use it to bathe or shower. Yucky place.

It was absolutely disgusting. Are you walking the room? Your Shoes stick to the floor. The blankets and sheets had holes from cigarettes and them. Bugs in the room. This property is an absolute trash heap and should be investigated by the NJ Dept of Health. The bathroom floor tiles were busted, the walls were busted, the tub was cracked and there were open rusting spots, the linens/bath towels were worn, stained and disgusting. The floors were so dirty my socks were black. The door was dirty with hand prints and there was dirt and mold all over the bathroom. Fruit flies, flies and spiders in the room. Beyond atrocious.

DO NOT STAY HERE. This place is in desperate need of updating. The tub was stained blue for some reason. The tub also had chipped pits all over it. The wooden steps to the second level are loose and unstable. I found crickets and cockroaches in the room. There were stains on the floor also. I found a better hotel, so I decided to check out early before the checkout time after my first night. They are keeping a second night's rate and only refunding one night. ABSOLUTE RIPOFF. Their policy is NOT posted anywhere in this dirtbag place.

One of the worst motels I've ever stayed in. Only 18" of space between the full-size bed and the Wall on either side. Very small bedside shelves. No other table in the room. Very poor lighting. Pedestal-type sink and no shelf of any kind in the bath. Slippery bathroom floor.

Disgusting smoke cloud
Needed a last minute room , figured motel 6 couldn’t be that bad. Hotels on the beach were just astronomical for a Saturday. This motel 6 is disgusting. They advertise No smoking but my room smelled like a cloud of cigarette smoke. Was disgusting. Could barely sleep. My clothes smell now. Was disgusting .

This motel was horrible and should not be advertised on Hotels.com. We wouldn’t even sleep there and tried to get reimbursement but we could not be compensated. The stairs leading to second floor where our room was located were in terrible condition. Wood stairs were deteriorated or missing and hallways looked like a horror movie. All this for $249.00 nite!!! I travel alot but will never use Hotels.com and will warn my friends and family too!

The room was dirty, mold on the bathroom, the A/C didn’t work at all, smell horrible. They give us another room and it had the same issues. Very dirty, bathtub dirty hair on the bathroom all over. Super hot with no A/C only blowing hot air, we couldn’t stay there because we couldn’t sleep. We had to rent another hotel somewhere else to be able to sleep. We paid for a horrible room, I want my money back please, horrible experience ever

Staff are extremely disrespectful, they have horrible customer service! They forget what actual customer service is because without customers their wouldnt be any business! While i was showering my two friends was waiting outside my room while another friend that was staying with me accompanied them until we was done, and when i was done showering my friend told me the front desk needed to see me because they are gona charge me $260 because there was more people staying in the room. Mind you i could have let my friends wait inside the room they wasnt even inside when they saw them and they wasnt even staying in the area they was heading back home but we was gona eat dinner before they left. I explained to them the same situation and they was not trying to listen, they was too worried to be stealing money from peoole before even verifying the issue there was no explaining to them. This is extremely unacceptable i would never be staying in this place again let along any other Motel 6. These people left such a bad taste that i could never recommend anyone to stay at this location. Do better!!!!

If you really need a place to stay in a pinch, this dungeon feel room will do. Nothing is really cleaned and the floor was held together with duct tape. Hotels.com charged me $379 for the first night which was not the advertised amount. Carefully check you itemized bill. We will not be booking with hotels.com or this motel 6.

The room in the picture that I rented wasn’t remotely close to what I got. I had a family event so I checked in threw my things in and left. I returned 2 hours later and the place was a dump. The bathroom door was smashed and held together with Sheetrock screws, the vanity top was smashed, the sink was cracked, there was holes around the outlets and on and on. I called down to the office and told them I wasn’t going to stay and can I get a refund? They said it was too late. Didn’t agree but it is what it is. I took plenty of pictures, it wasn’t the room that I saw online. It’s a place to sleep but people also sleep in the gutter.

The manager was friendly. We slept well. It suited our needs and was close to areas we needed to get to. The motel is in the process of updating and is in the midst of renovation.Wawa was nearby for coffee. There was a fridge in the room.
