ok hotel for a short stayPosted Sep 16, 2017
Cons: number of things
Location: not close enough to the port where I was headed
Was not happy that they put a hold on my account actually debited me .Most hotels would hold your card for security until after your stay. They told me I would be credited back but with the currency exchange ,it would be less than what they held by the time it is credited. Not happy with that policy.

Great locationPosted Sep 9, 2017
The Forum hotel is a very interesting place. It used to be hospital, but with it, comes all the space and open areas you'd find in a hospital. Rooms have great access, open areas. Nothing small about the lobby, rooms, bathroom and even the huge waiting areas at each floor. Something you don't see at a regular hotel. They provide a Continental breakfast, no pool, ample free parking, very close to US 1 and Hyw. 95. The hotel is only 10 min. From Fort Lauderdale Int. Airport and about the same from the beach.

Cons: Dingy Dirty Old..It could use some updating....
Okay for the price. Carpets are old , dirty and worn out. Breakfast is okay...not a lot of variety but enough to hold you until you go out for lunch...Great location...very close to Interstate 95.

SpookyPosted Aug 31, 2017
Hotel seems very spooky more like a Hospital. It was just to quiet and when I travel I'm used to seeing alot of cars in the parking lot not just a few. What hotels have double doors that's another thing that give off a Hospital. I stayed for the remainder of my stay but I will never stay there again. Sorry. I'm just a person that's spooks easily

So Sorry, Will Never Stay Here AgainPosted Aug 29, 2017
Pros: Only the front desk clerk.
Location: Dangerous area.
I was so scared in this hotel. I felt like I was in a dream. It reminded me of the movie The Shining. It was an old hospital and yes, it was institutional. The only redeeming part was the clerk who checked me in, he was friendly. When my first room had a leaking sink and a puddle on the floor, plus what looked like mice droppings on a shelf, he gave me another room. I could barely sleep, it was very frightening. The bed had loud springs, squeaking with every movement. The blanket was "rubberized", it was a terrible feeling every time I touched it. The shower was so small, I could not get out from under the spray to soap up. Every person in the hotel seemed like a character from a movie. Walking around talking to themselves. My son, who lives in Florida, told me it's a dangerous area. Do not stay here. Do not believe the reviews.

nice hotel quiet enviromentPosted Aug 28, 2017
Pros: the price was affordable
Cons: because of so many churches there are hardly any parking for the regular hotel guest when all the members driving avehicle.
hotel location near to express and great shopping plaza nearby as well. Only two major dissapointment carpet could use a bit of cleaning and several floors have churches on it but the third floor church congregation sits all over the corridor and eats and the food scent made me felt sick should we visit again wish not to stay on that floor.

Pleasantly SurprisedPosted Aug 25, 2017
Pros: The room was very comfortable. The guy at the front desk who checked me in was quite friendly and informative. I will be staying there again for sure.
I didn't know what to expect, as I had never heard about The Forum. I must say the staff and room were very pleasing. I considered it ti be a steal of a deal. I left early in the morning, so I wasn't able to try the breakfast.

Ok room when on a budgetPosted Aug 22, 2017
I got this because I had a last minute trip to the FLL area. The rooms are basic nothing special. The complementary breakfast was disappointing everything was frozen, bagels frozen.. they could have at least brought them to room temperature prior to putting them for guests. No one was on hand to constantly monitor the breakfast quantities so things ran out so i mostly sticked bagel and cream cheese. Few members of staff we memorable in terms in their friendliness but generally they didn't do much out reach etc.. Rooms need an upgrade they have a sterile feeling like a senior citizen home. Whats with the double doors separating the hallway at the elevators from the dining area and rooms?? never got that.
