Better Than We Expected

Pros: location, ok for pets, AC worked well.
Cons: It was a little loud with traffic and people walking by. Not much they can do about that.
Location: Only one block from the main drag. Restaurants, shops, Whataburger, CVS nearby.
We booked late and this motel was literally the only place available that could accommodate us. We read the reviews and really had low expectations. Our rooms, however, were clean overall and fairly comfortable. The staff was very friendly and offered assistance whenever asked. Don't expect anything fancy. This is an old hotel, but you can tell they are remodeling and updating room by room. You can't beat the location. You are literally one block from the main drag and maybe 10 blocks from the beach. Under the circumstances, I would actually stay here again.

You get what you pay for. It was ok nothing to brag about.

Rundown and roaches

Tried to cancel three weeks before but they didn't allow it. First walked in to a dead giant roach on the floor, nasty carpet and peeling paint on walls, sink and in bathtub. Musty. Not worth the $20 a night savings.

Clean place to sleep and shower.

They are renovating and haven't quite finished. Parking was tough but once renovations are finished, I believe it will be okay. Roomswas clean and beds were a little hard. But worked. Room had a mini fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer and microwave.

bugs! and outdated

bugs! big roach and hotel was outdated and can see light through the walls. Worst hotel i ever stayed in and should have slept on the beach instead

When We bought this property it was not in operation. We did a lot of renovation to our property and then we started redroof inn. We put new smart televisions, microwaves, lightings in our all rooms. We renovate the swimming pool and changed the furniture in swimming pool area. We made barbeque area for the customers. There are many changes we did to make our property best. we are sorry for the inconvenience. We are going to change our whole property soon.

Close to beach and fishing

For the price we paid I expected better quality on the room , it was old and needed updating. Took a shower and smelled like fish, bathub was so old the porcelain was cracking. Needs updating for the price. Have stayed in other hotels and way better.

Bad condition

This hotel is old, dirty, and not good. The door barely shut, the neighbor was frying fish in the hotel room. I would have changed hotels if there had been any others. It also was expensive for the bad condition

It's was an okay stay. The pool got taken over by acouple of young guest. So we really didn't enjoy our time in the pool. But other than that it was an average inn.
