The hotel was nice and clean, good staff, very friendly. I was told breakfast was included when I booked. But I ended up paying for breakfast. Nice drinks were very expansive. 18 dollars. Beer was not bad. The gym can use more equipment but it wasn'thorrible.

A Nice Get Away in Petyonville!

Posted Jun 30, 2017
Pros: Location
Cons: spruce up the rooms a little bit
We found this a great hotel within the city. The setting is quiet and tranquil, but it is also close to restaurants, bars, and clubs for when you want to leave and have a little fun. The room could use some updating and better lighting! For the price, I was surprised to find that some of the light fixtures didn't work at all and that the room had some issues, like bad paint, etc. The breakfast buffet is great! I wouldn't say that it's a bargain, so it's more like a treat for while you're enjoying the resort. The dinner was ok, especially given the price. Since we know our way around the city, we enjoyed nice and better priced meals elsewhere. The staff are terrific! We felt especially taken care of throughout our stay

The location is great

Because the American Embassy was concerned w/ tourists being attacked and robbed, we didn't really walk around Petion Ville but there's plenty to see within walking distance !

Pros: Location, very close to family. Great facility with restaurant and couple bars outside. Swimming pool also a plus.
Cons: Service, wait time. Guy who took us to the room would not even take us back to the front desk to wait for the new room. So we ended up tipping again
Location: Vendors at the corner, dominos pizza close by
Appeared very nice. Staff was pretty decent. However we were given a room with a broken window in the bathroom and mosquitoes were already all over the room. We asked for another room but all they would offer was to have someone fix the window and spray the room. Wasn't acceptable, we demanded another room so they said the type of room we paid for thru Expedia was not available, if we wanted another room we had to pay another $15 a day, which we did. Even with the extra, we had to call twice to get toilet paper and soap brought to our room because the cleaning crew did not refill.

Best facilities in Haiti, but staff/mgmt issues

Posted Mar 20, 2017
Really really like facilities at this hotel -- best in Haiti. Only problem , staff is surly until you open wallet & flash cash Found out what the problem was from ex-employee. Hotel is owned by Spanish interest . When the hotel opened the Haitian staff was promised the below market wage rates would increase once Hotel was financially on its feet. Guess the obvious -- management lied, & staff has become surly, unless meeting a guess, usually a "blan" who can fund the wage shortfall The ex-employee quit when Spanish mgmt informed staff that "the beatings would continue until morale improves"

Average Hotel

Posted Mar 18, 2017 on CheapTickets
Pros: The courtyard is beautiful. Staff was very nice and helpful. Friday night band entertainment was great.
Cons: Serving local cuisine such as freshly brewed Haitian Tea, adding an eliptical machine to gym, providing more than one towel per guest, better linen.
Location: Hotel is close to transportation & central to Petion-Ville.
I stayed in a room on the 1st floor, T.V. did not have local channel & reception was poor. Shower was not properly sealed and water leaked all over the bathroom. Housekeeping knocked on door daily to ask for towels. Towels were not available for swimming pool. Buffet was too pricey $16.00 for breakfast, $20.00/lunch & 25.00 for dinner. Local cuisine was minimal. For more reasonable prices there are several local eateries not too far such as Epi D'or & Marie Beliard Bakery where you can get a meal for less than $10.00.

Pros: Everything: the location, the professionalism of the staff etc...
Cons: The restaurant prices were a little bit on the expensive side but nothing that would preclude me for a future stay..
Location: It's a very centralized location, lots of nearby restaurants, perfect for the nightlife.
Great Hotel, centralized location, very professional and courteous staff especially the FRONT DESK. Hotel recommended.
