Staff all super friendly.

Cons: Elevator slow with loud startling beep.
staff super friendly. Rooms clean and we were super appreciative that dogs allowed.

Nice hotel close to family

Cons: Pool area and exercise room
Location: We choose this location because of Its proximity to family in the area.
The staff was helpful and friendly,very nice breakfast room was comfortable and clean. The pool area and exercise area were not that clean,the plastic chairs were moldy and not comfortable and someone had dropped candy wrapper on the floor in the exercise room and it was never picked up the length of my stay,so I guess the areas are not attended to often. We were told to leave the pool towels by the pool and the following day they were still there.

I’ve received your review of La Quinta Port Charlotte. Please allow me this opportunity to apologize for the inconvenience you experienced during your stay. We strive for perfection and to provide every guest with an unforgettable experience. I am disappointed to hear that we did not live up to this standard. Also allow me to apologize it’s not a norm for us to receive complaints about our bugs in our rooms, we strive on cleanliness and our housekeepers were very disappointed in this. We do take each guest concerns with this issue very seriously. We always call in our professional’s pest control company to assess any suspected room. Anytime a guest is not satisfied or not comfortable for any reason it becomes a top concern for all of us here at the La Quinta, as guest satisfaction and comfort remain our number one priority. Regarding the incident in question the room was immediately taken off-line; a staff evaluation was conducted, followed by a thorough professional examination to insure the room was up to standards. It was not until management was 100% certain that the room was suitable for occupancy that it was returned to inventory as nothing was found. Please never hesitate to let a staff member know of any concerns you might have so we can fix the issue right at hand, and look into it. I hope you will give us another chance to make things right and show you this is not how we operate. We hope to see you soon in the near future. Thanks again for your time, and hope we’ll see you back with us at La Quinta Inn and Suites once again.

Perfect for us and our dog

Too much fragrance

Pros: Comfortable, easy check-in, everything in working order
Cons: Go fragrance free.
Location: Location was handy, at the intersection of King's Highway and Route 75,
Many hotels have opted to go fragrance free, which I would recommend for La Quinta. There was somewhat of a sickly (in my opinion) cinnamon-y smell that was not an asset. It was not enough to keep me from staying, but would be a factor in considering La Quinta over other options in the future.

Can be much nicer

The Bill was wrong. Did not clean the room on time. The breakfast was dull, same menu as the last three months.
