If you like character and appeal. This is your jam!
It was old. Squeaky. Unique. In every way fun and functional. Loved the locks. Loved the rooms. Great porch life. Grill was great. The dvds saved us a good laugh to lay down and just watch something. I enjoyed the kitchen. I actually want to tell you all its Terrible so you won’t make it sold out all year. (Corny joke) This place and its management were a class.

The property was great for our weekend getaway. Lots of charm! We enjoyed walking to the water on the property as well as down the road to the pier. Thank you!

If you like glamping, you'll love this home. 😬
Home was very easy to find and locate. The home itself is in a nice, beautiful neighborhood, and the land and layout is as described. The home was extremely clean. However, we experienced several issues during our stay. First of all, when you are looking for a place to rent you usually look at many listings. This particular owner has his home set up to where you have to bring your own linens. And by linens that means bath towels, beach towels, washrag, kitchen rags, kitchen towels, and sheets. There is one sentence in his entire listing telling you that. He never sends a reminder reminding you about linens. We drove 10 hours and arrived at the home around midnight to find no sheets or towels. The following day I reached out to him in which he did respond in a timely manner and said the housekeeper would bring us some complimentary linens. Two hours passed and no word from him or the housekeeper. I than reached out to him again and he tells me the housekeeper will be there around 7:30pm. We still had not had showers and we had an event to go to that day. We spent the rest of our day driving to Walmart to purchase sheets, towels, blankets, and kitchen towels. We did arrive back at the house that night to find the housekeeper did drop off some linens at some point. The first night we arrived it was very rainy and stormy and the a cold front had moved in. Prior to going to bed, we turned on the heat upstairs. Within 5 minutes, the smoke alarm downstairs started going off, and there was foul smell of electricity burning. We could not find a source of fire so had to turn the entire system off. Cold night and no sheets. Other notes to make about the property; there is a beautiful screened in back porch overlooking the water, however, there is zero lighting on the porch so if you like to evening dwell on a porch, you can't on this one. Also, the two shower heads are extremely low, so if you're 5'0 or shorter, they are perfect for you. There is a washer and dryer, but homeowner leaves no complimentary pods for you, but yet there were some pods for the dishwasher. All in all, the nightly fee and the cleaning fee are pretty hefty considering the fact that the housekeeper doesn't have much to do if there isn't even any linens to clean. If you are traveling with a family, there would be a lot of things you would have to pack just to stay at this home (towels, sheets, washrag, kitchen towels, pods, etc). Good luck!

Another Awesome Stay!
We stayed here in October of last year and love it so much we booked it again this year. The place is a charming old farm house with a huge porch to hangout on. Our kids and dog love all the outdoor space to run around and explore. The marsh is definitely a highlight for everyone. The house has several kayaks and a canoe you can use to explore. The trail down is wet and muddy so tall boots are a must , but know you will still probably get wet. It's an adventure! The space around the house is beautiful too. It is a nice walk down to the lighthouse overlook through the marsh, this walk is on a dry road. We saw several herons and bald eagles.

Great place!
My family and I really enjoyed our stay! I wish the beach and water were easier to access. Because of all the mud we were unable to make it out. But the house is close to a couple of nice public beaches. We really enjoyed the yard and played outside every evening. The porch and swings were really relaxing. Overall, a great place.
