Good place for a night away. Customer service was prompt and polite. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Only complaint was the heater/fan in our room - worked great for a few minutes then would loudly rattle for a bit (repeated all night).

The rate was good. The inn looked outdated and “tired” but the room filled our needs. The bed and linens were very comfortable

I gambled on a 2 * property. I confess. Original booked room given to others. We got an upgrade. That room was large yes. BUT. the couch literally tore up as well as a chair and dirty. Flat out damaged. Craftsmanship on this “New” room non functional, sad. We called and said another Decent room or refund. This 3rd room was NICE. Id love to think things would b better in a next time. But, this property needs higher standards. Its A gamble, unfortunately.

Hotel is nice for the price and most staff is nice. Was told if the towels, washcloths, ect have a stain you can be charged for damages which seems a bit excessive.

Office staff was very courteous and thankful for my business. It was a cold night, however, and I could have used another blanket. The heater unit was noisy when it turned on throughout the night but overall no outside noise.

Bit hard to locate at night. Tucked in behind other business and the sign was not lite up. Very friendly staff. Would stay here again but request a room a 1st floor on the other side of hotel. Our room was above the kitchen and the staff starts banging around at 6am

The curtain in the room was not attached to the header which affected my feeling of safety being part of the room exposed from the outside . No hair dryers in room and no coffee makers. The TV remote could not change channels by pushing the channel numbers, had to flip channel by channel

Bed very comfortable, room was sufficient and the staff were very friendly and helpful as we forgot our hairdryer but they had 1 for us to use. They do not leave them in the rooms any more. We will return next time we visit port huron.

We will not be returning. Blood found in bathroom
We were told the rooms were renovated but once we saw the room it was a disappointment. The beds and linens were ok. But that was where it ended. The floor had a spot on it so I took a face cloth to wipe it up and the cloth was black from how dirty the floor was. The bathroom door, on the bathroom side, had yellow (urine?) dry drips down the door. This was the real kicker, the toilet paper roll was almost empty so I took it off to change it and there was dried blood on the roll. There was no closet to hang anything in just a coat hanger on the wall for about 3-4 coats. The front end person was very nice. That’s the only positive I can say. Needless to say, we will not be returning.

You have my sincerest apologies for being placed in a substandard room. I assure you that we have followed up on this review with staff assesment and retraining. I do not know how you managed to be placed in a dirty room, but had you let us know at the time of check-in, you would have been immediately given a different room. I do hope that you change your mind and give us another chance to change your first impression.

The king bed was excellent. Great mattress. Clean. TV was a little hard to figure out. Breakfast was a little disappointing but that was the only downside. Need stronger coffee a few more choices.

A truly honest review....Good points were Kathy at the front desk. Very helpful and super friendly. Beds are comfortable and pillows were new. Everything was in white so I knew they had been washed well. The room (301) was spacious and modernly decorated as well as very clean. Five minutes from Bluewater Bridge, close to shopping and so many good places to eat at decent prices. Not so good points.....There were some "questionable" guests staying there so there were a couple of incidents. They didn't affect us directly, but it was a nuissance. The breakfast isn't great, (cereal, cakes, waffles, toast). The bathroom in the room was quite dated. However, all in all, if you're just going to go shopping and need a cheap place to rest your head for the night, it was ok.

My room smelled and I was okay with it I walked down and said to the guy please keep my deposit I had a shower and recently died my hair and it went all over the towels and one of the pillow cases he said okay! Then I got a message being like we have damages and documented it and I’m like I know I told you and very upset not thank you for informing us when you checked out we understand will never stay here again because of this very rude sometimes things happen I called and the lady had no clue about this and I wanted to talk to the gentlemen very unprofessional when I was fully honest and willing to pay because I forgot my own towel for my hair! Very poor costumer service and especially with no smoking in the rooms and my room wreaked of smoke!

This is an older hotel and it is clearly had some remodeling done. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. I don’t know if some of the in the rooms just finished yet but door frame and door of the bathroom was in need of attention and paint. The shower rod was pulling out of the wall and sagging causing the curtain to slid the center. You hear conversation and even walking from the rooms above and next to. Though if did not hear any partying. No blow drier or coffee in the room. The price is reasonable and in a pinch and all I cared about was a clean comfy bed I’d stay there again.

It seems you were correct in some door frames being left unfinished, and this has been brought to maintenance attention, as has the showerrod. We do, however, have hairdryers available at the front desk for anyone who needs them, and you have my apologies that you were not made aware of this at the time. The room I stayed in seemed newly renovated with new floors and furniture that hid nothing, leading to a clean sleek look. There was a questionable water spot above the shower, and a lot of hair in the bathroom that didn't come from me. The front desk staff were helpful and accomodating.

The hotel was in a bad area. There were people hanging around the entrance that were not friendly. The room was okay until i went into the bathroom and there was several layers of dirty grout around the tub and what looked like spilled wine on the edge of the tub. I will say that Kathie, at the front desk was very nice and accommodating.

Property was fine to rest your head. Needs to be upgraded. Sidewalks, stairs to the second level were in terrible shape. Bathroom was in need of towel racks!! Get what you pay for! Would not stay at this property again. The front desk staff were very nice and check in went smoothly.
