No extra blanket?

Posted May 25, 2016
Pros: Clean room, good location.
Cons: Give the night staff access to the basic amenity of extra blankets. Include the cost of parking in the room rate.
We had a room with a bed and a sleeper sofa. The sofa was only partially made up, with a bottom sheet and a thin blanket; there was a folded-up top sheet that hadn't been put on the sofa bed. The night was a little chilly and we wanted an additional blanket. There wasn't one in the closet, so we went to the front desk. This was probably around midnight. The woman at the desk said that the closet where blankets were was locked and she didn't have the key. She gave us two additional sheets, one of them fitted. It seems pretty unreasonable for the person at the desk not to have access to blankets. In addition, parking costs an additional $8, which seems pretty silly. Everyone is going to have a car, so that cost should be part of the room charge.

Love the location, needs a little attention to det

We arrived early and expected that our room would not be ready and the clerk gleefully told us our room as expected is not ready. Ok I get it, we wanted to give her our number but she said we must call., since they had no idea when the rooms would be ready. The place was great and being still off season some things may have been neglected, like the exterior walls on our balcony were pretty dirty and grungy, maybe a powerwash once a year because this looked at least 3 years since the last cleaning. The couple we travelled with were granted a special bonus of a pair of used, neon blue men's underwear on the floor at the foot of the bed, ( lucky dogs!) they called and the front desk apologized and sent someone to pick the prize up, but our friends had to really push the issue for another room using logic that suggests that a normal room cleaning with a vacuum should have captured the errant blue undershorts, and it's logical to assume that the room was not vacuumed since Mr Blue was in residence. I understand they have new ownership and much of the crew may be new, but they should get their act together before the higher rates kick in in the next month or so.

Comfort

Room temperature difficult to control. Was to cold then to hot. Noisy neighbors.
