Beautiful location

Posted Jul 21, 2015
Pros: Beautiful setting
Cons: room needs updating - more guest space in the common area, somewhere to sit in the shade outdoors. Decks on the rooms
This is my second time staying at the Inn at Port Ludlow. The Inn is located in a beautiful setting. We had a nice corner room with windows on two sides which was great to capture the breezes off the sound as it was a very warm weekend during our stay. The food at the restaurant was very good. The hotel could use some updating - bathroom was dated and the linens were just ok. Also, in my opinion, the hotel is lacking in guest relaxing and seating space, especially out of doors. There was a wedding going on during our stay and they took over the best part of the Inn and there was literally no where to sit outdoors, except two chairs in full sun without any shade. This was disappointing.

We had a view overlooking the marina.

The breakfasts there were of the best quality food. The hotel itself was kept up nicely and was very clean. The staff was very friendly.

Romantic and quiet

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: The food at the restaurant was top notch. The setting and the quiet peaceful environment.
Cons: Bathrooms could be updated .
Location: It is quiet with a tiny town nearby. No shopping but lots of outdoor options like hiking, golf, boating, beach walks.
We stayed at the resort for one night to celebrate our 30 yr anniversary. Our room was nice, we enjoyed the fireplace and soaking tub. The shower tile and tub could use a little updating though. They were stained and although clean the date of the tile made the room feel dinghy. Staff was excellent at front desk and especially the restaurant. We got free drinks and dessert from the hotel for our anniversary. The appetizers at happy hour were wonderful and we were very pleased with our dinner and breakfast at the fireside restaurant. The food was delicious. Amazing chef. Our servers were all excellent too. We loved our stay so much I booked a room the next day to give as a gift to our daughter and son in law for his upcoming birthday. Kudos to the resort! It is a peaceful and serene place to spend some time with a loved one. The setting is amazing with access to the beach and marina and views from everywhere.

Quiet getaway on the marina

Posted Feb 16, 2014
Pros: Nicely situated hotel with well kept grounds. Beautiful walking paths and private sitting areas to enjoy the local wildlife. Very peaceful and quiet.
Cons: Better food choices in the restaurant.
Location: We took a short hike to see Ludlow falls not far from the hotel. Very beautiful and worth doing if the weather permits. Close to Port Townsend.
We had a nice Valentines day getaway at this hotel. The staff was friendly and answered our questions. We ate in the restaurant one night, it was a pleasant experience but a bit pricey. The steak was excellent, but a chicken dish that I had was stringy and difficult to eat, besides taking a long time to prepare. Otherwise, we had a fine time, and our waitress, Molly, was excellent.

Expedia dropped the ball on our reservation.

Posted Dec 17, 2013
Got to the hotel for check-in and found that the room we had booked with a king size bed and view through Expedia was not available, so we had to settle for a queen with a view of the marina - $179 for hotel that in our opinion is overrated.

Relaxing Resort

Port Ludlow Inn is a beautiful resort. It was very clean, friendly and even treated us to a bottle of champagne for our anniversary. We will go again.
