Nice but terrible beds

Posted Oct 30, 2017
Pros: Size, friendliness, location, food
Cons: Need better quality beds
Location: Wildlife viewing, boating, hiking
We loved our stay. They welcomed our dogs graciously. The room came with a fridge, hair dryer and Keurig brewer, no freezer or microwave. Not all water view rooms have a balcony. I would have rated 5 stars except the beds were hard as a rock. I like a firm mattress but these were like sleeping on concrete. So many upgrades and spa like touches, too bad the most important part of a hotel room was neglected.

I thank you so much for this feedback and overall it seems you had an enjoyable stay. It can be challenging to find a mattress that is suitable to everyone needs but I have been looking into replacing all of our mattress. This feedback is so valuable to us and we come you come back to test our new mattresses, thank you.

Noises!!! Could not sleep.

Posted Oct 5, 2017
Pros: Nice view of the golf course, nice pool and exercise room.
Cons: Don't think they can do much to improve the building.
Location: Great access to the Olympic park and trails.
We stayed on the second floor of the hotel and the room above use had guests that were up all night and every time they got out of bed the floors squeaked and we could hear their every step. We could also hear their squeaking bed. There is a microwave and refrigerator in the room which is nice, but the refrigerator made a loud humming noise that kept us awake also. There is a restaurant in the hotel and the kitchen smells draft into the rooms. When we finally did fall asleep we were awakened by the strong smell of bacon. If you are a bacon lover you might like this? I recommend that if you stay here get a room on the top floor and stay as far away from the kitchen as possible.

Unique find but remote.

Pros: Peaceful beautiful setting. Loved the fireplace, the views, the huge tub looking out over the harbor.
Cons: Food service, coffee bar, something other than pricey restaurant.
Really lovely and peaceful setting. Great for a quiet get away. My only suggestion to the inn is that they do more re: offering food to take up to rooms,or for picnics, etc. They could have a little store, a coffee bar, or something as there is almost nothing worth eating anywhere nearby --- a 30 minute drive to get to other choices. No room service, food at restaurant is good but pricey. They even charge for a bottle of water in your room. But otherwise, fantastic place.

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We are thrilled to hear you enjoyed your stay. We are working on providing snack like items for sale at our front desk. You are correct that there are not many dining option in the area. Port Ludlow is growing and with that growth I'm sure we will be seeing more dining option in the future. Thank you for being our guest and we hope to see you again soon.

Nice hotel in beautiful setting with serious flaws

Posted Sep 18, 2017
Pros: See above
Cons: See above
Location: Golf, boating, nature hikes, dining.
First I start with the good. There is an excellent restaurant, and the rooms have the features you would expect at a resort hotel. Now the bad. The rooms were outfitted with a heating system that you wouldn't find even in a Motel 6. Each room has a space heater embedded in the wall. The one in the bedroom was near the floor behind the door and required one to lay on the floor to turn on. The dial was an arbitrary 0 to 100 and the fan was very loud. The suite was barely kept warm on a beautiful September day.The room was the best they offered and had two balconies - one with no chairs and the other with two cheap lawn chairs with nowhere to put your beat-up coffee cup. The switches turned on no lights on either. Fireplace didn't light. It is too bad as these issues would be easy to resolve.

Wedding night

Posted Sep 18, 2017
My best man and I got there before check in they let us use another room to get ready and they put our bags in our room when it was ready. Bed was very comfortable. Drain on the tub broke so I called and within 2 min someone was up and fixed it. Great staff!!! Even walked into our room and had a bottle of Finn river cider!

Nice hotel, only on a quiet night.

Posted Sep 11, 2017
Pros: The Marina was nice to walk around.
Cons: The seater in the restaurant could be less snooty. Everyone else in the restaurant was great. The hotel staff was great as well.
The hotel was nice, the room was comfortable, and had a great balcony. Sadly we couldn't use the balcony, as there was a large party being held in the restaurant, and it was so loud you couldn't even hear each other talk on the balcony. The restaurant was also disappointing, we made a reservation, when we showed up there was hardly anyone there, and they wanted to seat us at the worst table in the place. When we asked for another table, they said 'Sorry, we are full". I asked what about all of these other empty tables, I was told 'they have reservations'. When I told her we also have a reservation, she said our reservation was not for one of those tables! Apparently you have to choose your table when reserving? It is hard to spend $100.00 for a meal and then be treated like crap to boot. We went somewhere else. There was a great restaurant in Port Hadlock. We did have breakfast in the morning in the restaurant and it was great then.

Amazing hotel

My wife, toddler and I stayed here for a wedding. The hotel is amazing. It's very quiet, secluded, and the restaurant food is incredible. I can't wait to return!

Cons: Cleaning staff need to do a better job cleaning the room. The dirty coffee mugs in my room weren't removed, wet/dirty towels weren't removed/replaced.
Hotel is nice and clean, quiet location, good restaurant. I would stay here again.
