So glad to have a clean space

Very nice property. More upscale than I thought it would be. Would come back her any time.

Post Irma getaway.

Posted Sep 30, 2017
Once we'd completed initial Irma damage control at our home further south we decided on R & R time. Picked this hotel to look at as a potential futuristic safe haven from further storms. It is indeed right off 95 at a fairly busy intersection. Until one discovers the access for the hotel (best via neighbouring shopping center service road) traffic system could un-nerve some. Hotel presents OK, neat lobby, laid back reception staff. Dog friendly for no fee but little facilities outside for them save some overgrown grounds outback. Otherwise nice enough rooms, beds comfy enough, bathroom clean, nothing remarkable but fair price. Breakfast adequate with hot choices. Housekeeping happy to leave one in peace, friendly but no English. Area around hotel great for shopping & eats, maybe 4 miles to beach. We would consider this hotel for storm safety but perhaps not for several nights. It really needs an outdoor seating area other than a smokers corner just to grab some fresh air between outings.

Disappointing experience

Posted Sep 28, 2017
We had a family funeral in town so we had several rooms in the hotel. All of the rooms were musky, possibly mold smell, several family members had to take medication to combat asthma attacks. One entire floor reeked of marijuana which seeped into the rooms resulting in two family groups to leave the hotel in the middle of the night. The staff walked the hall and said they couldn’t tell what room the smell originated from and that there were no other rooms. One in our group was told not to open the bathroom door since the smell was coming from the vent in there. Utter nonsense. Breakfast was bleak and tasteless. We won’t be staying at another one of these hotels again.

I appreciate your feedback; this is definitely not the experience we want you to have when staying with us! Your feedback will help us improve our operation. Rest assured your comments will be shared with our team, and it’s through comments such as yours that we’re able to improve. DIRTY AND GROSS. DEPRESSING. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

Posted Sep 28, 2017
Pros: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!
Cons: Honestly, they need to power was the entire lobby. They need to lay new tiles and carpeting. They need to completely renovate this hotel.
We arrived at the hotel and entered the lobby which we noticed was very worn and uncared for. We have stayed in many La Quinta's as we have a dog, and they do not charge extra for him. We have stayed in La Quinta's when we have taken long car trips. We checked in at the Front Desk. The clerk looked unkempt, and did not see to be happy to be working there. She assigned us a room on the second floor. As soon as we exited the elevator we were met with an exceptionally strong odor of cat urine. We had just traveled 4 hours, and were tired, so we thought that maybe if we went into our guest room, it would be ok. The room was musty, and there were two inches of dust on the night tables. Clearly nobody had been in this room for a long, long time. We called down and told the Front Desk clerk that the hall reeked of cat urine. She asked us what room was across the hall from us, and we told her. She said that she was aware that those guests had a cat in the room, and she heard the complaints before. The hotel was almost empty. If she heard the complaints before why did she put us in that room?? She gave us a room on the third floor. The hall did smell better, and the room was not musty, but it was by no accounts clean. At this point we knew we were leaving early in the morning, so we decided to clean the room and stay. The breakfast area was gross. No way we were eating there. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. There is a lovely Country Inn down the road.Do yourself a favor Stay There!!

The staff and breakfast were great, everyone is obviously doing a wonderful job. But the building is old and smelled moldy

Nice facility. The only thing I wasn't too happy was the breakfast time. On Saturday they offer breakfast from 6-10, which is a good time frame, but on one Saturday I went down to the breakfast room at 9:35 and everything was gone. They put everything away. I had to ask the lady to give me some milk and fruit to at least have something to eat. From my experience on other hotels, they keep a variety of items until the very last minute, they keep refilling and putting more items that might be missing until the time they are closing.

Thank you for your input. While I was not here at that time, I do know that I was not overly confident in the breakfast person as her attitude has been starting to slip. she is no longer employed at this location for many reasons. I appreciate your input.

Great Stay

Posted Jul 4, 2017
Pros: Location and cleanliness
Location: Went to the Daytona Raceway for a NASCAR race.
The staff was very friendly. Seemed to enjoy working at the hotel. Greeted upon entry, asked if anything else was needed. The room was clean and orderly. We will return when in the area.
