Good location for travelers, but mediocre

Posted Aug 29, 2015
Pros: Staff, location; free wireless.
Cons: Replace carpeting in halls.
Hotel staff were considerate and professional. Hotel itself looks a feels a bit tired. Overpriced (IMHO) even considering the peak season. One concern that I shared with the front desk was extremely hot tap water. I came very close to badly scalding my hands just trying to wash them. And the shower was the same thing. No warning signs about water temp anywhere.

Just ok:

Posted Aug 24, 2015
Pros: Location to down town
Cons: Better customer services
While we booked 2 weeks in advance, we were given a room across from the laundry facility that was noisy and very hot! The hallway was also 15 degrees hotter than the lobby and when we told them, we were told, "they are conserving energy". When we complained we were told sorry we have 2 weddings going on. Wrong answer! They took our money and we should have been treated like guests that mattered.

Nice distance from downtown.

Posted Aug 18, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness
Cons: The comfort of the bed.
Location: 10 minutes from downtown.
Went for a weekend away. Wanted a hotel close to downtown but also with a reasonable price. Hotel was nice, the bed was uncomfortable but other than that it was a very nice hotel.

Bummed out

Posted Aug 11, 2015
Completely disappointed with this hotel. Thinking that because it was a Clarion, it would be well worth the money, but I was wrong. First off, there was only one elevator that was probably the slowest elevator I have ever been on. Quicker to use the stairs, but the stairs wells could benefit from a mopping every so often. Second, walking down the hall ways, I realized that the hotel was screaming to be updated (paint, carpet, lighting). Third, sat in the chair in the room and fell to the side because the front left chair leg was missing. Fourth, when going to take a bath, I realized that there was not a way to stop up the tub, so I called down to the front desk and learned that I needed to get a plug from them. I requested that they bring one up to my room, but after 20 mins, I just gave up and went and got it myself. Finally, while booking a hotel, I specifically look for free continental breakfast being provided. I read that there was breakfast available, but I must have misread because breakfast is only available in the hotel restaurant for purchase. Glad my stay was a short one.

Nice pet friendly hotel

Posted Jul 30, 2015
Pros: Pet friendly
Cons: elevators
Location: right in town
It was nice to see a major hotel chain allow pets. Elevators could use an upgrade. Otherwise very comfortable for a 1 night stay.

This was an okay hotel....

Posted Jul 8, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Be more welcoming and inviting.
Location: Portland restaurant and shops. Duck tour stop a 5-min drive.
As long as you have a car, the hotel is close to Portland and lots of restaurants - a 5 min drive. The hotel just has a cold feeling, too quiet. It would liven up the place if it at least had some sort of music in the pool area. The pool starts at 3ft and goes up to 8 or 9ft, so not little kids friendly. The hot tub was so dirty you could feel stuff under you feet, gross. The room was clean and beds surprisingly comfortable. $9.95 per person breakfast buffet was okay. Old Orchards is about 11 miles away, so a short drive. Our stay wasn't horrible, but we will not be staying here again.

No good service

Posted Jul 7, 2015
When we arrived 2:40 PM, the front desk told us to wait until 3:00 PM for check-in. There were already several groups waiting. When they started the check in process, the lady clerk was so cold just reading the lines. Then we headed to the elevator, the male employee was blocking the door for doing some touch up. We and other customer's asked if we can use the elevator, but he ignored us. Finally, it was chilly night, we wanted take a bath, but no bathtub drain stopper. Called the front desk, he said call us back but never did. I don't recommend this hotel at all.

Close to Military Processing office in Portland

Posted Jun 17, 2015
Pros: It's close to restaurants, the airport, and the mall area.
Cons: There didn't appear to be any shampoo in the room so I was glad I brought my own. Also the AC in the room was not working well and kept turning off.
This is the hotel the military processing station in Portland uses to put up those that are processing or getting ready to ship out for basic training. I booked a room here as my son was shipping out for basic the next day. The hotel is very nice and the rooms are clean and comfortable.
