Weekend get-a-way

Posted Feb 15, 2017
Pros: Clean, breakfast, pool, wifi
Cons: Nothing really. I'm a smoker and I went outside to smoke. They even accommodated us with the ash trays.
Location: We didn't venture out, as everything we wanted was there.
I decided to treat my daughter to a weekend get-a-way, since we are confined to living in a motor home. She, unbeknownst to me, invited a school friend to swim, whom later stayed in the room with us. Upon check-in I was advised that the debit card I used had to have my name on it, which it didn't, due to recent fraudulent activity and new card issued. The hotel attendant advised me that hotels won't charge cards without the name on them. She made me the exception, which I was VERY pleased. Basically, the room was clean and roomy. I've read that the train was disturbing, but I didn't notice. The pool was AWESOME for my daughter and her friend! They swam for 5 hours. The hot tub wasn't functioning, but that's ok. OMG! The breakfast? So good. the eggs and sausage were delightful. Waffle machine (once I figured it out) was so good....fresh fruit, coffee, oh so good. I'm impressed, because I read all the ratings before going. I wasn't disappointed. The neighborhood isn't as bad as they say, though I did see a tent pitched for a few of the homeless in the parking lot (not theirs), but that's life. Good job Comfort Inn....my daughter is sore from swimming. oh....and the wifi is better than my house.

Hotel was nice; Expedia?

Posted Feb 11, 2017
Hotel has nice and very conveniently located with the airport. Hassle free, stress free and much appreciated. Expedia...please when someone asks for an accessible room there is a reason. This should be communicated as represented when booking. We may not use Expedia in the future because this seems to happen EVERY time!

Ok for a quick stay for a flight.

Posted Jan 12, 2017
Pros: Great pool area and in general a good choice for the price for airport stays.
Cons: Need more professional, friendly desk clerks.
Location: Not much to do in the location. There is an Elmer's next door.
We arrived during very nasty weather after flying in on a late flight. The shuttle driver did not make eye contact, and didn't say a word the entire trip. In fairness though, he may have just been nervous due to the road conditions. Front desk clerk was disheveled and seemed unorganized. Not very interested in helping us and seemed put out when we asked about eating/delivery options. The same young man was on duty when we left the next evening and again looked unprofessional and uninterested in helping us. Carpets are in need of cleaning, especially in the halls. The room was comfortable and clean other than the carpet.

Thank you for taking the time to complete our survey. We've addressed the issues you have concerns about. He was distressed considering the weather, as well as a pipe burst. There was a lot going on. We apologize for your inconvenience. Have a great day.

CLOSE TO GREAT EATERIES.

Posted Jan 8, 2017
Pros: PRICE AND LOCATION
Cons: MAYBE A LITTLE MORE MAINTENANCE ON AIR CONDITIONERS. NEW OR CLEANED FILTERS WILL HELP FOR ALLERGY SUFFERERS LIKE MYSELF.
Location: LOCATION IS GREAT, AREA AROUND OUTSIDE OF HOTEL A LITTLE DEPRESSED. PLENTY OF EATS MUSIC VENUES TO ENJOY.
SURROUNDING AREA IS A MOBILE HOME PARK. HOTEL IS FENCED OFF. QUIET, CLEAN AND CENTRALLY LOCATED. CAN GO TO WASHINGTON TO DOWNTOWN PORTLAND IN 15 MINUTES OR LESS. ROOMS WERE NICELY APPOINTED AND MY ROOM WAS READY EARLY. EXCELLENT VALUE!

Poor communication

Posted Jan 1, 2017
We called from the airport to tell them we were in and to ask if the shuttle was still running. The woman who answered said yes. I asked, "About every 15 minutes? " She answered in the affirmative. We waited a half hour before hitting redial. The man who answered said the shuttle only ran on request. Nearly an hour and a half after my first call, we walked into the hotel. A man and woman were at the front desk, said they were the only ones taking calls and refused to acknowledge that we had called more than once.

Nice, affordable hotel close to the airport

Posted Dec 21, 2016
Pros: Clean, comfortable, many pillows in the bed! Also, they had a pretty nice continental breakfast with many food options to choose from.
Cons: The staff was friendly but were not overly welcoming
Location: Right next to the airport, so constant planes/trains roaring by may be a problem for some people at night. Located in an industrial area.
I booked this hotel because it was close to the testing center in northeast Portland where I needed to take my board exam for school. I think it's mostly for people using the airport, and because it's so close you can hear airplanes taking off all night and trains going by in the middle of the night (also very close to the railroad). But the room was very nice - big, comfortable bed with a table and desk to use for studying, microwave/fridge to store and heat up food, warm shower, etc. And, the hotel has a pool and hot tub that are open 24 hrs to people over 21 years old - very nice and warm during my stay, which was in the middle of an ice storm!

Very disappointed.

Posted Dec 17, 2016
Pros: It was easy to find when coming from the Portland airport.
Cons: Heating system, room refrigerator, soundproofing, breakfast, staff training
Location: Close to Portland airport.
Had to go back and ask the desk staff at check-in if there was a breakfast offered at this hotel b/c I wasn't informed of this, or anything else aside from the location of my room. The room was equipped with a refrigerator that clunked loudly every 2 hours, waking me up throughout the night. The bathroom stayed ice cold all night. It was very noisy. Breakfast was almost inedible: very rubbery, over-cooked eggs, and greasy sausage patties. It took 3 hours for the post-prandial nausea to subside.

Close to Airport + Rail line

Posted Dec 15, 2016
Pros: Close to airport. Shuttle was convenient. Staff was helpful and nice. Room was clean and comfortable.
Location: Location is not great. Restaurant next door was good. Not much else was close, but it was only a block away from the Tri-Met rail system.
A little noisy at times due to Jet traffic and railroad. Nice to be close to airport. Shuttle was free and prompt. Next door to Elmer's Restaurant was convenient. Breakfast in Hotel was okay. Staff was helpful.
