big room

Posted Jul 20, 2017
It was a nice hotel close to the mall. Lots of kids activities and cheap places to grab a quick bite to eat.

Never been so happy to leave

Posted Jul 18, 2017
I'm not sure where to begin. The room was supposed to have two queen beds, but the beds were doubles/full. The room was run down and the noise from the breakfast would wake me at 5:30 am as the staff got ready. Our room was on the freeway side, and I the noise from that was constant also. It was always hot, no matter how low the fan was set (and it always turned off). The room also had a funky smell. It did appear to be clean. There are laundry facilities, but it is only one washer and dryer with a line. Breakfast was gross. There were dirty tables staff never cleaned. The dishes and flatware were always out. Staff would bring out dishes 6 at a time, but 10 people would be waiting & half the dishes had food stuck on them. The food wasn't stocked, was minimal choice, and tasted bad. Staff redid keys without asking for ID. The location is close to a mall, but 1st night we went to get dinner at a restaurant there. There was heavy security when we arrived & we saw 2 different arrests. When we left the loitering outside was unnerving and the whole place was super dark. The hotel itself is directly across from an adult erotic store & it dead ends right next to the hotel. Odd people were always hanging out there. The parking lot of the hotel was quite dark while nearby hotels were well-lit. I'm not a generally nervous person, but I felt the need to park as close to the hotel on the Days Inn side as possible and always be in before dark

Outdated

Hotel is outdated. The room smelled old. Right as you walk in the smell just hits you. Bed mattresses are due to be replaced, they sink in toward the middle. We requested another room but it also smelled bad. Would not recommend.

Get it together.

Hair all over the bathroom. Sink, bathtub, said hottub was open all night, it was broken all weekend. Girl that works nights shouldn't be in customer service what so ever. I'll go to days in next door next time.

Good location

The hotel was nice and the staff pleasant. Unusual to find a two-story hotel with no elevator.

Room was surprisingly large. Room was very clean although the facility itself could use some dusting and vaccuing in shared spaces, so I was surprised. There was construction going on in the front of the building so I had to drag my suitcase across the muddy grass. Would have been nice to have a board or something laid out to walk across. Heels and muddy grass are a bad combo! Was also very surprised that there was no elevator. Not the end of the world but it was tricky dragging my bag up and down the stairs, although the lady at the front desk was great, both apologizing about the construction and offering to help me carry my bag up the stairs. I think the accommodations were reasonable based on the price.

Pet friendly, including cats, call hotel directly.

Posted Apr 21, 2017 on Hotels
We spent two nights here while seeing a veterinarian in Vancouver. A bit of confusion at check-in because we had a cat and they said they don't take cats. But I had called the hotel directly to confirm I could stay w/a cat. the General Manager happened to be standing in the area and he approved our stay. So just make sure you call the hotel (not a website, pet friendly does not always mean cat friendly...should we march about that!) and get the name of the person who says you can bring a cat. The room was large, two queen beds, plenty of storage, two tables, sofa, wet bar, mini fridge. VERY nice double jetted tub. The heat was a little sketchy, fan seemed to run for one minute, turn off for ten seconds, run again, etc. Staff was very friendly. Could use a new treadmill, I used it both nights despite some annoying grinding noises it made! All in all, it was fine. Free wifi a bit slow, but there is an upgraded version you can get for $6.95/day if you need better service for work. We would stay here again.
