Pricey with little to offer

Posted Aug 18, 2015
Pros: bed
Cons: Include breakfast with the stay...
The state of Maine is a very expensive place to vacay & most museum & shops closed early.

The warm days and cool evenings of August make Maine a very popular place to be in the summer. We earned our name "vacationland" from this time of year I am sure! If you are on a budget that restricts you from visiting in peak season, you will find great values in our "off season". You may want to give us a try in November when prices are lower, but the beauty and charm are still here, just different. I am sorry the prices took you by surprise, we do make every effort to let people know what pricing is prior to their arrival.

Close to Everything

Posted Aug 17, 2015
Pros: the bathroom was awesome
Cons: more towel racks and a night light
Location: we arrived on the ferry from Nova Scotia and left early the next morning so we didn't do any sightseeing while in the area
We were very tired when we arrived and were hungry for more than the bistro provided. It was great that the Maine Mall was just down the street with several very good restaurants.

Visit to Portland

Posted Aug 3, 2015
We were looking for a moderately priced hotel in the Portland area for a 3 day stay. The Courtyard by Marriott near the jetport served our needs well. It was clean, well furnished and easy to get to downtown Portland, where all the fun was. We would certainly stay there again.

Modern, clean well-located hotel.

Posted Aug 1, 2015
Pros: Clean and quiet.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Near Maine Mall. Also close to South Portland (lighthouse) and Portland (Old Port restaurants and attractions). Also close to art museum.
Clean, modern hotel. Very quiet rooms, nice fixtures. Offers modest on-site dining for convenience.
