Hotel in remodel

When making reservation, did not indicate that the hotel was going under renovations and that two floors were closed, pool was closed and we felt crumbs or something in our sheets.

Needs an Upgrade

Pros: The interior lobby has a lot of possibilities and is like a cathedral. Will be beautiful if/when a remodel is done. It is close to local eateries.
Cons: This hotel is in need of a remodel. A breakfast buffet is a must. It lacks the standard amenities you'd find at any Courtyard by Marriott.
Location: Close to freeways and local restaurants.
Staff greeted us warmly upon arrival. It went downhill from there. Room was small and sad. In need of a facelift. Wallpaper was old and coming apart at the seam next to our bed. Search for ice was a challenge as ice makers were only available on two floors and only one was working...really? Small windows with one having a metal windowsill on the outside that heightened the sound of the rain making it a bit noisy. We had chosen this hotel to try a new place and had stayed at the Hilton Garden Suites across the street before. We'll definitely be heading back to the Hilton on our next visit.

Nice hotel beds terrible

Hotel was close to everything we needed. Beds are uncomfortable and impossible to sleep well but otherwise fit our needs.

Somewhat disappointed! This Crown Plaza is the most out dated hotel I have ever stayed at, the bathroom is like motel 8 and days inn condition, lights are cold and dark, bed and bedding is comfortable and is the only thing I liked in this hotel. I don't think I would come back if the hotel condition stays the same, I strongly suggest that the hotel do renovate their bathrooms to newer and brighter to live up its name "Crown plaza" should be the higher end of holiday inn but this hotel is just like any other holiday inns and holiday inn express!!

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was strong and the water heated quickly. There was a little room noise but I cannot comment if that was because there was no one in adjacent rooms or if the did a good job sound proofing

I really got a good deal for staying two days and two nights at this hotel. Speaking for myself, the location was perfect because it was close to our friends' house, and the neighborhood was just gorgeous. Hotel was clean. I really liked it that the lobby and hallways arent fusty at all. The maintenance staff really did a good job at cleaning the rooms, they do have a way of making it look and smell prestine. One thing i didnt like though was that the AC was too loud. I checked in that hotel to have a quiet place to rest at night but the AC unit was just so annoyingly loud. I had to keep the AC on to cool the room up while I was out, and turn it off just when i got back. But i think overall crowne plaza is awesome

nice hotel close to freeways

We have always stayed at the Hilton across the street. It was booked so we tried the Plaza. Very nice, quiet, clean and close to freeways and walking distance to nice places to eat. Convenient check-in/out. The only comment I have is the cost of breakfast. Too much, we had to pass! Otherwise, I would recommend and would stay here again.

Bad Experience

I was here for business the first day I didn't get back to my room till 3:45 and the room had still not been serviced. I called the front desk and the person there said that I had a do not disturb sign on my door, I didn't. She then said that they were getting to the rooms as fast as they could by this time it was 4:00. Never did get my room serviced. I was there for 3 nights and my room was serviced once!!!! I then tried to order a movie and couldn't so I called the front desk and they said that they forgot to scan my card when I checked in and I would have to come down to the lobby and have them scan my card if I wanted to use any in house services. I thought that was rude. It was their mistake. I stopped by the next morning and had them scan it. That night the same thing happened again with the same result. I was out of luck again because they didn't scan it properly. I stayed in one of their hotels in San Jose earlier in the week and had the same type of service. I will not stay in any of their hotels again!!

Great hotel

Great hotel with a great location. Only a 15 minute drive to downtown. Is perfect if you need to be downtown but don't want to pay additional for parking.
