Pros: location ease of check in and check out
We were here for 1 night. Great value. Great location to shops and outlets. We did not eat the breakfast here, but it is offered. Wifi worked well.

Unfriendly staff, very smelly room (humidity ans bathroom smell). Breakfast so so. Room was clean. We had a fridge and microwave. Small room.

Nice hotel but rude front desk clerk

Pros: The hotel is nice. The shower had plenty of hot water.The bed was comfortable. It was quiet - no outside noise or from other rooms.
Cons: Manners for all front desk people.
Location: The location is one of reasons why we chose this hotel. It is very close to the outlet stores and restaurants which was the purpose of our trip.
My husband and I stayed at this hotel from July 7th through July 11th. Upon registration we asked a very pleasant front desk clerk if we could extend our stay by one day at the same rate. He checked and said yes but we will need to sign for the extra day on the 10th (our original departure date). On the 10th, we went to the front desk and explained to the clerk on duty that we were told to come here to sign for the extra day. Well, instead of saying ok let me check on this for you, he became belligerent. He asked who we spoke to. I said I didn't know. When he asked again, I said how would I know the name, he smirked and pointed to his name tag. He proceeded for several minutes to rudely explain why our request is not that easy to process. Finally, he checked the computer and it was noted that we were extending our stay. I don't know why he was combative and felt the need to explain the difficulties associated with our request.

Fine for the price

Pros: They take dogs and are clean and fairly priced.
Cons: Mini fridge. Better beds. Breakfast available a little longer.
Location: Located just off the highway so easy to locate and close driving distance to all the outlets of downtown Freeport.
Small but clean room. Beds were quite uncomfortable. TV and channel choices were good but would really appreciate a mini fridge. Breakfast was adequate but closed by nine o'clock which is too early for many travelers.

Cons: Needs a facelift inside and out.
Barely acceptable. Bathroom floor was smudged. Sheets looked questionable.

Motel ok but...

Pros: Clean, quiet and walking distance to a great BBQ place (the only resto in area)
Cons: Manners
Location: Nothing to do in the area without car
Motel was OK but problem with reservation. I had booked room for 4 adults with a cot, but when we got there front desk told me that it was only for two and no cot. And that there was nothing they could do because we went thru a third party. Had to pay for extra people and extra for cot. Now the room was no longer a deal but for the price I payed I could have stayed at a 4 star.

You should have seen my daughters face!

Pros: Inexpensive and good breakfast set up for travelers.
Cons: Overall brightening. Rooms are dark, giving it a wrong impression. Daughter says to check the"dirt" in the corners of the room (she's one to talk!).
Location: Good for quick shop in Freeport
Understand, I didn't expect a five star motel. The Econo Lodge is a good choice for the price. My 18 year old daughter specifically said she was scared of hotel rooms with exterior doors. Econo lodge has this, however she was happy to see a little cat sitting in the window in the room next to ours. The rooms are small and basic. The rugs are kind of nasty and the room smelled a bit musty on entrance. However, once the AC was turned on, the mustiness cleared. I wonder if putting a timer on the AC during the humid months could improve the musty issue? The bedding was a little dark and depressing but it was clean and the room was tidy. My big issue is that the rug felt damp and it too was a bit dark and depressing. Not sure how one resolves this on a hot and humid day. Good breakfast and good one night stop and the price was great.
