Enjoyed our stay

Pros: New hotel, clean rooms, good breakfast, friendly staff
Location: Recommend Street and Co
We spent one night at this hotel and it was very nice. Appreciated the clean room, modern decor, breakfast and the location. If you get a chance to go to Street and Co, we highly recommend it and it's within walking distance.

Cons: Needs a self parking option.
We just stayed for one night and it was fine, disappointingly we got a disabled room so no bath but not a big deal for one night.

Stayed two nights. Near downtown in an excellent location with restaurants and activities nearby.

Perfectly overall nice unpretentious hotel and great location. I would choose this hotel over any typical "4" star run-of-mill hotel. Wondered why it only have 2 1/2 star on Expedia, should have at least 3.

Great to a stop over

Pros: Location, cleanliness
Cons: The pool area would be more inviting with a hot tub.
Portland was one of our stops during a 10-day road trip. We stayed for two nights. The Hampton Inn is in a great location - everything is within walking distance. We were given an ADA-compliant room (not sure why) so it was HUGE! I didn't see the regular rooms, so can't speak to their size. Super comfortable beds and the whole place looked updated and fresh. The breakfast area is very large and very nicely done.

Great location

Pros: location and room
Cons: staff friendliness. some were very welcoming and always greeted us....others, especially housekeeping would look the other way when we passed them
Location: Great location to the waterfront, restaurants, shopping. We especially enjoyed the duck boat tour of the city and waterfront
This hotel's location was excellent, within walking distance to the waterfront, restaurants and shopping. The room was comfortable and spacious. We thought the staff were efficient but not overly-friendly. For what we paid, we expected to be given the thank you bag of goodies upon leaving rather than having to go back and ask for it.

This nicely situated hotel is convenient to all the Port area bars and restaurants. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The bar/restaurant attached to the hotel had good food and local beers. Do note that parking is $15 a night.

visit downtowns portland

if you are doing the downtown Portland tourist type trip this is very nice hotel in perfect location to park and walk...pricey but you can walk to shops resturants boat ride et al

Wish I could stay longer

Pros: Everything
Location: Downtown Portland and the Waterfront are right outside the hotel doors. We took the ferry to the islands and rented bikes. It was perfect.
Got this hotel at a great deal from Expedia and it was one of the best hotels I've stayed at. The rooms were large and clean. I loved everything about this hotel. I tried to book another night but it was far too expensive without going through Expedia and it was unavailable on Expedia for that particular night.
