Close to downtown Portland, town feeling

Close to downtown Portland in a great town setting with center square park and very peaceful. Great place to return to after visiting Portland. Hotel location is very convenient. Clean and comfortable.

WAY OVER PRICED

Pros: Everything is done very well here.
Location: In the heart of Vancouver next to Ester Short Park.
There is nothing to complain about concerning this hotel EXCEPT the pricing. Everything from room to room service to parking and pet care are of high quality, but they are overpriced compared to similar hotels in Portland and to some extent even Seattle. While there are no quality alternatives to this hotel in the Vancouver hotel, it seems they are pushing pricing to the limit.

Great for seeing old Vancouver

Pros: clean room, great restaurant, restauant help was great, walking distance to brewpubs, tasting rooms and restaurants/ coffee Cons: parking fee is a ripoff, front desk staff was lackluster and indifferent, expensive rooms.

Paper thin walls and over priced food

Pros: The rooms were clean and there was a Starbucks in the lobby.
Cons: The food options and professionalism of the staff.
Location: The location is great with access to the freeway and a park.
My stay was for 3 days and it was difficult to get any sleep due to the very thin walls and noisy conditions. I was even able to hear someone from the floor above me drop, what sounded like, a coin on the floor. The food was over priced for what was offered and very bland. I paid $14 (including room service fees) for a chocolate cake that looked similar to a hostess cake. The salad that I purchased the day before made me ill. After sending a message to the front desk that I was not happy with the food, the kitchen manager attempted to contact me and called 3 times at 11:00 pm to address my displeasure, which I though was disrespectful. Although the room was clean and the some of the staff were nice, I won't be staying there again.

Staff was rude. Room stunk like the linen closet at a retirement center.

Not worth the cost

My husband and I stayed here and were very disappointed. We spent more money here than our previous hotel (Hyatt House), yet were much less impressed. Breakfast was not included, tub had stains from previously removed stickers, towels were falling apart, no microwave, outdated bathroom. The lobby looked like we chose a high-end place, but the rooms were comparable to Motel 6.

Excellent hotel. Watch your account after checkout, twice I have received charges that were already paid posted to my account which I had to call to have removed.
