On-Site Parking and Great Service

Posted Jul 26, 2016
This hotel was overall pretty good; the location is close to restaurants and shopping, good freeway access, on-site parking is helpful if you have a car (not free, but rate is reasonable). Honestly, for the price you pay to stay here, I thought the hotel was going to be gorgeous. Found that the room was very average. When we initially walked in, I thought it smelled a little smokey, but that went away quickly. I was shocked by the amount of homeless people all over Portland. While we were in the city we walked to restaurants, stores, etc., we always got asked for money by homeless people every time we left the hotel. I was kind of shocked to be paying this kind of money to stay here and then having homeless people sleeping on the streets down the block, it was very sad that all of these people have no home. :( But I think that speaks more to the state of the city than the hotel itself; it was just an unfortunate part of staying there. On a positive note, I thought the gym was clean and nice. They had free weights, treadmill, elliptical, pedal bike, weight bench; was what I needed for morning exercise and I appreciated it. The best part of this hotel was the super friendly service; everyone was very helpful and concierge/valet was excellent.

Perfect location

Posted Jul 25, 2016
It was the perfect location. Near downtown. Walkable to everywhere we wanted. Or just hop on the Max! We went to attend a concert at Moda Center and do some shopping. It was perfect for a mother daughter time. Loved it!

Great location

Walk to great shopping and restaurants, rent a bike on-site, take mass transit, on the waterfront. What more do you need? Smallish room but bed was comfortable.

Disappointing

Posted Jul 22, 2016
Pros: Location
Cons: Everything
The king room we had was small, dark, and dirty. Certain lights didn't work in the bathroom as well as the fan. Definitely an old building they did a good job renovating the main entrance but the room was completely disappointing. The room itself smelled bad. Just a complete disappointment for how expensive this place is. Location is convenient though.

Unique atmosphere, close to downtown scene

Posted Jul 20, 2016
The hotel has great service and different kinds of perks you wouldn't get at other hotels such as pineapple cupcakes and seperate bed covers. The staff are friendly and the location is within walking distance from all downtown amenities and right across the street from the river path. It has a friendly upbeat vibe that fits nicely with Portland's ambience and culture.

Hip hotel

Was really pleased with this hotel. Easy parking, bright colourful uplifting decor. Favourite part personally was our room, super comfortable bed! We didn't try the restaurant but voodoo donuts is less then 10mins away. Accessible location to get anywhere in the city. Shopping at your doorstep and nice walking along the river.

Perfect location

Posted Jul 18, 2016
Pros: The location was great.
Cons: The pillows could use some improvement. Possibly offer something besides down pillows.
This hotel is within walking distance to many restaurants, lots of shopping and is right on the waterfront. It was easy to navigate in and out of the hotel. The rooms were clean and quiet. You can hear some road noise during the night, but it was not bad. The pillows could use some improvement. I woke up with a very sore neck, but I don't like down pillows either.
