Location is good and so is staff friendliness.

Posted Jan 2, 2017
Would recommend to others because price is fair but they need to know their wifi is too slow and practically won't work and their diner is not working either Because of location there are lots of places to eat.

We are looking to upgrade our hardware to increase signal strength, our apologies for the inconvenience. Our diner has been out for over a decade as well. We are glad you enjoyed our central location and hope you have a fantastic New Year!

Super close to hospital.

Posted Dec 18, 2016
Snowed in Portland, so needed a place closer to stay. Took the Steel bridge & Glisan went straight to the hospital. So location was great. Have been to hotel before because of this location. Everything was great. Staff was great. And the view over Portland was spectacular, especially with the snow!! Will definitely use this one again. Plus free parking. The other 3 hotels I reviewed you had to pay for parking, which could be $15.00 - $30.00.

We are glad you enjoyed our great location and the great views of the city! I hope you were safe getting out of the city, it was treacherous for a couple days there. Happy Holidays and a wonderful New Year!

Rooms were nice, and staff were super friendly. Walking distance to Moda stadium, downtown, and easy access to trains.

close to the moda center

Pros: proximity
Cons: room service needs to close the door when servicing.
WATCH your belongings...my backpack and cell phone were stolen from the room.

I spoke to the housekeeper and she said she visually saw you leaving the room with your backpack. I would have suggested you look for it elsewhere but you were so adamant there was no talking to you, even though I told you numerous times that was the case. You also stayed during Black Friday weekend, when there are literally tens of thousands of dollars in brand new merchandise in the hotel, if that is what you are suggesting. That just doesn't make sense to me that only your backpack went missing. Not to mention I doubt you will find one review about items "missing" from a room. I am sorry you misplaced your backpack sir, but I assure it was not my staff that is responsible.

Good hotel right next to Convention Center

Posted Nov 29, 2016
Pros: The staff is friendly and helpful.
The location of the hotel is unbeatable for the Convention Center, but is also very good for the Light Rail which takes minutes to get to the center of town. The rooms are clean and very large, although somewhat noisy - I did not mind the noise, which comes mainly from the Light Rail.

Decent enough budget option

Posted Nov 28, 2016
Pros: Great location for MAX rail and the convention center.
A decent enough budget hotel, very near to the convention center if that is where you need to be. The proximity opf the MAX rail is always helpful if you need to get about easily, too, although it is so close that if you are the wrong side of the hotel the noise will keep you up. The hotel did offer to move me when I mentioned this. There were also Wi-Fi issues on the top two floors of the hotel, which were ultimately fixed but this was a bit disappointing too.

My apologies on the WiFi issues, from what I understand we did replace some hardware that malfunctioned.

Clean, Great Location, Excellent Staff

Posted Nov 8, 2016
Pros: Staff & location.
Cons: I mean, it's still a 2 star technically. No pool or anything fancy happening. Internet was pretty crappy.
Location: Starbucks, Burgerville & Red Robin only a block away. Convention center & Transit train thing across the street. Moda Center & Coliseum very close by.
Booked this hotel based on price and location. Expected a place to sleep but nothing exciting otherwise. Received a cozy place to sleep in a very clean space with a lovely view of Portland. Staff was exceptional. Very knowledgeable, nice and had a good sense of humor. Would absolutely come back, even if we had a bigger budget. It was in a perfect location for all of our needs and felt safe in the area. Really impressed!

Not a great hotel but very convenient.

Posted Oct 28, 2016
The main draw to stay at the inn at the convention center is the convenience of being right across the street from the convention center. The price was competitive I didn't feel like I overpaid. The hallways have incredibly low ceilings and was oddly claustrophobic, luckily the rooms had a normal ceiling height. The room wasn't bad it was well maid and at least seemed fairly clean. but the first thing I saw was a cigarette burn on a blanket. My biggest issue with the room was that there wasnt a window that I could open. only a sliding door that would normally lead to a balcony accept their is no balcony just a railing and they won't let you open the door more than a few inches.

The noise from the trains will wake you at 4am

Posted Oct 21, 2016
Pros: Great customer service! Moved me to a quieter room for my 2nd night. Let me use their printer for a work presentation.
Cons: Sound proof the rooms facing the train!! The upside of this is the train to and from the airport is right across the street.
Location: N/a
