Mishmash of patterns

Pros: Convenient, well maintained,
Cons: Get a different decorator. The overabundance of different patters was just too much. Even the two chairs had different pattern on upholstery.
Location: On a red line from airport, walking distance to Powels bookstore. Convenient to both buses and all light rail lines.
Decorator got no taste. Too may clashing patters. Garbage track woke me up every morning at 4AM. But room was spacious, well equiped, well maintained with comfortable bed. No massage shower, but other amenities excellent. Shame that at that money one does not get free WiFi.

nice hotel centrally located

Pros: location and staff
Cons: serve a real continental breakfast, included in the room rate
Location: centrally located; walk to Powels; go to the art market on Saturday; take a bus tour around Portland and to the waterfalls..
centrally located; staff extremely helpful; I wish breakfast was included in the price of the room. would definitely stay there during our next visit to Portland.

Room smelled like urine

My first impression of the hotel was very good but when I opened the door to my room the first thing I noticed was that it smelled like pet urine. Ironically, I had been "upgraded" to a suite but while the layout and décor were nice, the smell was distracting. I should've changed rooms but I was so tired and hungry I just put up with it hoping I wouldn't notice after a while. Then I went to use the workout room which was in a windowless room and the t.v. and treadmill monitors weren't working. Perfect.

Almost perfect

We didn't love the area and had trouble with bed and pillows specifically. We did enjoy the social happy hour and the onsight restaurant, but a little upset about the high coffee and mini bar prices. Definitely walk to Peets coffee instead of getting a $4 black coffee at the restaurant. The suite room was quite large with funky decor.
