Staff friendly, room solid. Our night arrival was surprising for how dark the entire area was around the hotel (squeezed into a neighborhood), making it almost claustrophobic. The hotel can't control that directly, of course, but it felt like the hotel was the only well lit thing in the entire neighborhood.

Overall, I liked the hitel and would stay there again. However, the mattress in my room was so lumpy that it hurt when I tried to lie on my side, so I had to sleep on my back all night.

Good, convenient, centrally located, well lit self-parking lot is included. Quiet, pleasant area outside, although some would say a bit secluded for walking around right outside the hotel. Very good service. Appreciate in-room mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave. Wonderful breakfast in spacious dining area. Bathroom is fine. Will come again.

The La Quinta Inn is a fine hotel. The price was right for what they offered. We didn’t have to pay for parking which some of the hotels we were looking at were charging 35$ or more a night. They also offered free breakfast which was very good but finding a spot to sit was another story. It was close enough to downtown that it was only a 7$ Uber ride well worth it rather than trying to find parking in the old port or paying for a parking garage. It was very clean in our room. Shower was great. Great place for the price. I would stay here again if we come back to Portland.

This room was the nicest “pet friendly” room we’ve ever had! The tidy, plank-style flooring was awesome, not to mention the overall cleanliness, updated sink and shower, comfortable mattress, modern fan/ac/heat unit, and easy, pleasant check-in and -out. The dog walk area was convenient and effective as well! Thank you, La Quinta! We will definitely be back next time we’re in need of a pet friendly room in Portland!
