Nice place, staff ???

The place was nice, comfortable, and clean. The staff could have been much friendlier. Check-in staff bordered on rude.

Comfortable and close to freeway

The room was comfortable, with a good bed and separate seating area. The breakfast was strictly adequate, with few healthy options such as yogurt. It leaned towards sausage, gravy, and waffles.

Ok hotel first night was great. Second not so much

So I was staying here for work. First night was ok. Arrived fairly late and just wanted to sleep hotel provided that and all was good. Work up and went to the breakfast which was ok. Typical for a hotel Continental. The second night here is when it went bad though. Lake O had a wind storm that day. I know it knocked out cable service for part of the day because the project I was working on had no service. Cable came back to the area at 3:00 pm though. The problem is when I got to the hotel there was no cable to be had. There were no signs or notices. I had to call the front desk the lady answered the phone and was really short acting like I was bothering her. She said the cable company had an issue and was working on it. Well long and short of it is 12 hours after that call still no service. No cable trucks around and the hotel that a colleague was staying at literally right across the street had cable. If you have an issue just be accommodating and honest that will go a long ways!

Thank you for the feedback. We were being completely honest in the fact, that we called Comcast numerous times and they were remotely trying to fix our Q2Q programing. Channels were not up until Monday mid-morning, and the businesses that had this same program were in the same boat as we were.

Nice hotel close to freeway and downtown Portland

Everything was great except for the noisy kids in the room above us. They were up super late jumping and running around. We had to call the hotel front desk to call them to ask them to call and tell them to quite down. Other than that the hotel was great. Easy access to the freeway and downtown Portland.

We found this hotel very pleasing with nice size rooms. We were concerned it may be noisy located next to a busy street but it was very quiet. Very comfortable. We would definitely stay again.

Don't waste your money or time

Housekeeping started SLAMMING doors repeatedly by 7AM, walls are super thin could hear EVERYTHING. Breakfast was barley warm. Bed was super uncomfortable. Bathroom small and in bad shape. I'll probably never stay at another Phoenix Inn. Absolutely a miserable experience! Disappointed is putting it mildly.

Pros: Located down the street from the office, easy access
Overnight stay for work. Rooms are good, clean. Freeway traffic noise, but not too overbearing. I usually stay here due to its proximity to work and convenience of parking/entry/exit. Check-in is easy, and rooms are easy to access from either side of the building. Parking on the front (south) side of the building feels a little crowded to me, so I just park on the North side, where the lot has less cars. Morning coffee is decent, and they serve eggs, waffles, bagels, cereal, etc for breakfast. I usually will stay here when I go to Lake Oswego for work, about every couple weeks or so.

Hotel staff was not friendly

Pros: Room was large and clean.
Cons: Road noise was awful. More sound deadening in walls. PLEASE
It appeared she was bothered that she had to work. Not a smile or a greeting. Just give me your credit card and sign on the bottom line, Very small parking lot and she had no idea where we could park when the lot was full.
