Surprise! They want more money!

I was surprised and dismayed to find out that after I had paid Expedia for my stay plus taxes, I arrived at the PDX Ramada Inn to find they wanted a $150 "deposit". I'm happy to say they didn't run the card they had on hold, but it certainly would have impacted my trip if it had been accidentally run. I don't like having my card "out there", either. Not a pleased guest.

Quick one night visit to Portland

Pros: Nice layout. Bar and restaurant on premises.
Cons: Overall, the rooms could use freshening up. I'm sure management is aware of that.
Location: Close to PDX.
Check in was smooth and uneventful. Decor in the room was a bit dated but was clean. Great shower - plenty of hot water and great pressure. Nice bar/restaurant on the premises. Very nice little garden with a fountain and waterfall. Water features were turned of for the season but it would be a pleasant place to sit when the features are on. Hotel shuttle was perfect. Beautiful, clean van. Exceptionally friendly driver. Overall, I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

The room was very uncomfortable, the sheets had cigarette burns, and funny smell as if there's no fresh air in the room and it took forever for the room to heat up

Hotel near airport

Needed a place to stay for one night. Toilet ran so had to constantly jiggle handle, water in bath tub dripped and couldn't get it to stop, hair dryer didn't work.

No Water

There was no water in the bath rooms and even after complaining no one attended it because of which we faced lot of dis comfort, after all water is the minimum requirement during the stay

Pros: It was convenient and the king sized bed was comfortable.
Cons: They should provide liquid soap in the bathroom
The shuttle service from the airport (PDX) was quick and the driver was friendly. The person at the front desk was professional and friendly. Although the hotel is a maze, the directions to our room were good. The room was very clean and quiet. The only thing bad was that they only had bar soap, not the liquid gel.

Good location close to the airport, and overall we enjoyed our brief stay. While the room itself was fairly clean and nice, the bedding (pillows especially) was disappointing.

Great hotel close to airport

After traveling from Scotland it was great to hit the ground at a clean comfortable hotel that exceeded my expectations! Unfortunately I made my pre-paid reservation for a day later than I was arriving by accident. While the hotel staff could not change my booking because of how I had booked the room they were very accommodating with getting me into a room as it was without a reservation and for the same on line rate.
