Convenient location, close to shopping

Overall a good hotel. Noisy drunk people woke us up at 3am and ROTC group doing loud chants early in the morning, so that was annoying. Some tacky maintainance issues in the hallways (torn wallpaper), but the room was nice. The staff was very friendly and when we had an issue with our toilet they fixed it immediately.

Smelly rooms and indifferent, unhelpful staff.

We paid almost $200 to stay in this dump. The room smelled awful--so dank and musty that I had trouble sleeping! The beds were super uncomfortable and the tv tiny. There was no refrigerator of microwave as we expected from our recent stay at red lion jantzen beach, also in Portland, also $200/night. We were super disappointed in our experience, and won't ever stay here again. The only highlight was the nice warm pool for the kids.

Nice but noisy

Pros: Location on the river.
Location: Nice walk on the river.
Beautiful setting but very noisy, location great for both Portland & Vancouver Washington. Between the bridge traffic & planes taking off at the nearby airport it was really noisy. The gardeners started working at 8 in the morning blowing bark mulch around the hotel which was really noisy. I realize work has to be done but something like that, once a year, it should be done off season.

Not quite heated heated pool

I felt like the hotel served is purpose, a bed to sleep. Staff was nice but the heated pool she said that they had was not so heated and the coffee maker was.......well, I was not a happy camper in the morning.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We have addressed the pool temperature, and it is now, consistently 77 degrees, which seems to be agreeable with our guests. I hope you were able to take advantage of the coffee available in our lobby, and that the coffee pot that wasn't functioning properly, was reported, so we could replace it. The worst hotel experience

Terrible service, coffee was not stocked, room was run down and there is a massive any problem. When telling the front desk about problem, the only response I got was "ok". The fact that this hotel was recommended to me on Expedia paired with how I was treated at the hotel has made this the worst hotel experience of my life. $160 for a room that compares to a cheap motel. FURIOUS.
