Do not accept sleeping in the first floor. The ceiling is very thin and the people above move around and steps sound and cracking does not let you sleep. Maybe whoever get the second floor needs to know upon checking in and asked to minimize their movements at night.
We had difficult two nights and then the room above stayed empty - that's when we had a good night sleep.
