Our Oasis!

We were between our home of 45 years and senior apartment that we were unable to move in to until April 1st. No fooling! We had to find accommodations for five days. Since I work at Staples Jantzen Beach, this was the best location and it accepted our two female pets!

This was our second stay at this hotel. It is a very good deal. Everything was great except for the mysterious water leak in the hallway just outside of our room door which we reported but it was not attended to during our stay. I hope it did not cause serious damage to the property.

After reading the reviews we were concerned to stay here. It honestly is not as bad as people were saying. It depends on yours standards I guess... it seemed very average, slightly more on the dirty side however still clean and comfortable enough. I actually liked the location and the building itself is beautful. The staff was all extremely friendly and we were overall pleasantly surpised.

This hotel is run down. It was mostly clean, but parts of the room were still dusty. One of the two mattresses in the room was flipped over with the pillow top on the bottom (I did not want to find out why). Lots of stains on the carpet and furniture. Lots of poorly applied paint and what not. Our balcony had trash and cigarette butts. When we got there, residents were sitting on the front steps smoking and drinking. Over all the people were friendly and there were no insects in the room. I didn't feel dirty, but it didn't feel clean either. I wouldn't stay there again.

Overall the experience wasn't too bad. There were stains on the furniture but not the bed and the sheets. I would give the staff a full 5 for accommodating my family by upgrading one of our rooms to a suite to have us close to each other (Jocelyn was amazing in doing a great job at that) however the other night staff was not so great. She was plain out rude. I called for extra towels and i understand if some hotels arent able to bring towels to your room, but i dont think guests need to hear sass from the front desk person saying "ummmm YOU can come and get them yourself by coming to the front desk." Or when i come to pick them up and ask, she gave me attitude again and assumed i would assume that the towels on the counter were for me.
