Close to freeway and not too far from waterfall

Posted Jul 18, 2016
Pros: Not too far from the waterfall
Cons: Need to eliminate the smell from cigarette as much as you can.
Location: International rose garden, Japanese garden, Multnomah falls.
Room with two double bed is OK, I prefer the same floor plan like one in Medford, OR (cleaner and bigger). The smell from cigarette is very bad on the hallway where's my room is located (2nd floor) Continental breakfast could have been better. At least by adding hashbrowns, scrambled eggs and sausage or at least biscuits and sausage gravy.

Busy street but not noisy

Posted Jul 15, 2016
This Super 8 is on 181 St which is very easy to find and with lots of restaurants and a supermarket nearby. This motel has shown it's age but keep up well. The breakfast it provides can be better, but overall it should meet most's expectation.

Smoker and Noise-lover's Paradise!

Posted Jul 7, 2016
Non-smoking room reeked of cigarette smoke, as soon as we opened the door. Watery eyes within first 10 minutes. Was told by front desk that the room was never used as a smoking room before, and the smell was coming from other rooms. Wonder what the actual smoking room smells like. She suggested to leave the a/c on or keep the window open. However, A/C made a lot of noise, especially when it did its auto-shut off every few minutes. With the window open, you can hear street noise including late-night meet-ups of people who park their vehicles (and slam their doors like they have to) in the adjacent vacant lot. Linen was stained, some white towels were yellowish and ripped. Fridge even louder than the A/C. Only go if you are ok with compromising or have no issues with cigarette stench and are not bothered by noise. Best to bring allergy medication and earplugs for everyone else. You can surely do better - spend the extra few dollars on a nicer place and treat yourself.

Thank you for taking time to comment on your stay. I will definitely discuss your comments with our evening desk clerk. In her defense I have had to ask her to work a ton lately while we have trained new staff. So I am to blame for her crispiness and I apologize.

The breakfast offered (admittedly quick) is very unexciting.

You get what you pay for.

Pros: The staff was friendly and their breakfast was good. Location was close to the airport and several fast food restaurants.
Cons: New carpet in the hallways - upgrade the rooms.
Location: So many things to do if you are a hiker - be sure the visit the waterfall area south of the hotel by the river. The zoo is worth seeing as well.
The hotel needs to be updated. The room that we were in was clean; however there were holes in the wall. The wallpaper in the bathroom was coming off and in need of repair. The ceiling was very thin could hear the people walking around above you. I asked for a luggage rack they didn't have one.

Average, better than any other motel on 181st .

Posted Mar 19, 2016 on CheapTickets
Was clean, didn't encounter any bed bugs, 1 block away from max train public transportation. But it's on 181st in Rockwood area of Portland kinda shady side of town. If ya smoke expect to be asked by almost all that walk by for a cigarette. All in all not a bad stay.

Thank you for taking time to review your stay. I hope you enjoyed the graphic headboards, new furniture and new sinks and granite counters. Rockwood is a diverse urban area with some challenges.
