Close to airport

Posted Nov 22, 2017
Pros: Close to airport.
Always on my short list when flying into, or out of PDX. It is the closest hotel and not an unreasonable price for the convenience. Lots of food options nearby.

airport hotel

The hotel is in need of a remodel. It's not bad, it's just OK as it is, it's just tired. And mattresses have made quantum leaps since these were purchased.

Wow. What a incredible experience

Thank you for taking care of my daughter and new son in law. My kids were married and stayed with you for their honeymoon. The hotel staff made their time very special and upgraded them to a very nice suite. I appreciate ES focus on detail and taking great care with my family.

close to the airport

Pros: Breakfast and lounge
2 of the men's bathrooms were out of order. At the age of 71 that is not good.

Nice hotel, great breakfast.

Just as expected. Nice and friendly, shuttle service too. My shower had mold in it though. Told front desk and they are handling it, also offered me a discount.

Overall very good, the only thing is the parking, we have to pay $15 a night, as a guest u shouldn’t pay

Thank you for the overall positive feedback! We're sorry the parking fees were unexpected, though we do strive to offer parking rates that are significantly lower than other Portland properties.

Loud cause of airport closeness. Clean and comfortable room. Hot tub looked slimy though

Passing through for two nights.

Posted Oct 16, 2017
Pros: Breakfast, location.
Cons: Employees' attitudes, manager's buffet, pull out couch.
Location: Great location by airport and amtrak station.
The pull-out couch was terribly uncomfortable. We always look forward to the manager's evening appetizer buffet but this time it was all too spicy. We tried each item and couldn't eat any of them, unfortunately. The breakfast was as great as always, but the room was full of teenagers and a lot of them were barefoot, which I don't think is even legal. It was off-putting to have all of those kids running around without shoes. We ate dinner at the bar the first night and the bartender clearly did not want to wait on us, so that was irritating. It just wasn't the usual great service and great food that we expect which is why we will choose Embassy Suites over other hotels.

Friendly staff. Clean room but the thermostat was on 79 and the room didn’t warm up.

Great brand, old facility.

Posted Oct 6, 2017
Cons: Customer service of front desk staff. Clean the elevators and make sure the rooms are up to standards.
The Embassy Suites is one of my favorite Hilton brands. This particular hotel is very old and in need of a remodel. The facilities were mostly very clean, however the overall facility is dingy from wear and tear. Our room's door lock was hanging by one screw, and the room had an overwhelming musty smell. The staff was okay. Juana at the front desk was rude. She acted like I was not a priority and didn't make eye contact when I approached her about my room and a shuttle. I gave her a few chances to redeem herself and she maintained the attitude that I was interrupting her and was not her priority. Huge disappointment.
