Hotel Carris is well located near the Douro River area. Its a lively area. It can be noisy though at night. The hotel is relaxed, rooms are ok, although not brilliant, bit dated in my opinion. Overall my stay was ok.

Great location, friendly staff and beautiful aesthetic in the room, restaurant and lobby. Walking distance to everything. Paid underground parking down the road for 50€ a day.

Stayed with family. We had to book two rooms since standard rooms can only accommodate two people. The location of the hotel was really good. Lots of places to eat and walk to. Rooms were clean, property was upscale. There was a shortage of conditioner and body cream in the entire area, so that was a bummer, otherwise a great stay.

This hotel was so convenient: close to the waterfront where we could take a boat ride on the Douro or a ferry ride across the river to Gaia, or a walk across the Luis I Bridge. Also plenty of dining options nearby.

Really cool architectural history and displays of historic foundations within the property. The room was nice and clean. It was a bit noisy outside but that was due to the fact it is a busy central location.

Great place, near everything. The room was excellent and the staff even better. My only warning to visitors is if you're driving, be prepared to locate a parking spot. We found one about a kilometer away.

Arrived and checked in was allowed to check in early which was a bonus as rooms where ready.Staff we interacted with where all friendly.Only small gripe we booked 2 junior suites ours had no wardrobe space at all but my sons had plenty so nowhere for us to hang any clothes.rooms 213 none but 006 plenty.

Really nice modern hotel in a great location
Really liked this hotel. Great location and the room was modern and spacious. Would highly recommend. One caveat however, we booked a room with two beds but we were given a room with one double bed. This was quickly corrected, however they did say that they cannot guarantee the room type. I don’t think this is acceptable when you specifically pay extra for two separate beds.

The rooms do not match the picture in the hotel's application: I reserved a suite through the application when I checked in I was shocked the suite did not match the pictures, when I talked with them they told me sorry the hotel is full and we don't have another choice, bad service, very cheap bed, I will not book this hotel again

Wonderful!
The hotel is wonderful! The staff are welcoming and helpful. The hotel is beautiful and clean. Location is perfect! The first night we booked the small room. It was great, but a little cozy, so we upgraded to a junior suite which is a dream! Highly recommend this lovely hotel.
