Value in Porto

Large car park, free basic breakfast, coffee, bread, juice etc. For money paid very good value. Local places to eat, ask about the local BBQ. ( not if you are a vegatarian)

Cheap and cheerful. Easy bus ride to city.

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: Staff were friendly and cheerful. Night porter had good English. Very much a family-friendly place. Easy to get into city to walk around.
Cons: Stairs up to reception may trouble the elderly.
Location: A few cafes and a small supermarket within 5 minutes walk. Drive or bus into Porto and walk the city. It's lovely.
Room was a good side, en-suite had usual features including bidet. Modular shower with a six point jet-massage facility. Quite invigorating! Basic breakfast included. Rolls with butter and Vegemite for me....... Laundry facility very good but not cheap. Proper shutters and a french window onto my small balcony let me open the room and let the heat out. Spacious parking.

Big House with Plenty of parking

Posted Jan 3, 2015 on Hotels
Our last night in Portugal. Basically it is a huge house with old style doors and rooms. Fun experience to stay there! New Year's eve, so pretty cold out and heat pump was barely able to keep up (don't think it shut off). Otherwise room and bed was comfortable. Decent hot shower. WiFi was good enough for uploading pictures. Breakfast was simple but sufficient (Meat, Cheese, Rolls, Coffee, Cereals, Hot & Cold Milk, Juice). Staff was very friendly and helpful. Not long drive to Airport and gas station along the highway to top off rental car.

Easy access hotel/parking

Posted Jul 17, 2013
Pros: The hotel was small and very clean. The floors and woodwork actually shined. Very easy access to and from highway.
Cons: AC units need overhauling-very loud, tripped breaker, vent dirty. Room was next to Lobby and TV by front desk was a little loud.
Location: Located close to metro/bus/taxis. 10 minutes from riverfront. Walking distance from grocery, cafes, and restaurants.
We stayed 2 nights. It was inexpensive to hire a Taxi to the riverfront or to central downtown. Our dog was with us and it was quite easy and safe to walk her in the area around hotel. The sidewalks are extremely well maintained in Porto. Very even and smooth for paver tiles unlike say Lisbon. Porto is a great city for walkers.

Well Worth the Money

Posted Sep 19, 2012 on Hotels
Overall it was a very nice stay. This is an unusual house "like" arrangement that offers unique rooms. A great bargain for the price. A huge parking lot if you drove. The front desk person spoke fluent language and was very helpful in all aspects.

Finger weg!

Posted Oct 3, 2016
Pros: Nichts.
