There is MAJOR CONSTRUCTION directly across the small street from the entrance. Jackhammers were being used until 11 pm on a Friday night. I mentioned this on checkout, and they said “the construction company has a permit to work 24/7.” I heard that twice. Maybe they do, but it is terrible to be a guest there at this time. Construction is complete in APRIL 2026. Do not stay there until then. It is a shame as otherwise it is a great hotel.

There is a lot of construction happening directly in front of the building. Getting to the front door requires walking on the edge of a busy street. The room was very warm, I tried twice calling the front desk to ask if they could cool the room down with no improvement. They offered to bring up a fan at 2:30am as a solution to it being hot.

The hotel was amazing. Best shower, best bed, awesome staff. So helpful. The area around the hotel is under construction so you must navigate around that. If you have a car, you must valet. Location is perfect. Loved this hotel!!

Gorgeous hotel, the room was beautiful and one of the most comfortable bed we had in a long time. The staff was very professional and helpful and made us feel like VIP. There are a lot of constructions around the hotel but it’s not their fault. They were even thoughtful enough to provide hear plugs.

Look no further this hotel is simply outstanding! FIVE STARS all around! From the service, to the location, to the restaurant and bar! Everything was just great... The decor and the marble floors are impressive. The room was spacious and comfortable and everything was within walking distance from the hotel. My favorite part of the hotel was most definitely the restaurant. I loved their food and the staff was phenomenal. They really made my experience amazing. I cannot wait to visit again with my family!

The hotel is beautiful and its location is excellent, short walking distance to almost all the sightseeing locations. The service staff are friendly and helpful, the very best we have experienced. However, the construction around the hotel and road closure created inconveniences and parking challenges.

My wife and I had an excellent stay at the Intercontinental in Porto. The staff is incredible and extremely helpful. The planning multiple day trips outside of Porto and they were all top-notch. I strongly recommend staying at this hotel, and also utilizing the concierge for planning. Also, the rooms were very intuitively designed and clean. The breakfast, each morning was wonderful as well. Strongly recommended to stay here when visiting Porto.

Everything was absolutely fabulous...but breakfast. You would expect a higher standard to match all other services. Definitely breakfast for tour groups.....sorry guys. Not good enough for every other aspect of stay. However, I would definitely recommend your hotel to my friends

The hotel is great. They are doing work out front for the city’s subway but it did not bother us. Room service was excellent. The concierge Tiabo was super helpful.

Beautiful hotel with terrific staff. Construction of subway line directly in front of hotel was very noisy. Work began at 6:20 one morning and continued until after 10 pm. It was obviously not the fault of the hotel, but it made sleep difficult!

Worse 5* Hotel I have ever Visit. Hotel is nice, very inconvenient the construction at front of the hotel, but is not their fault. Service at this hotel is horrible. The rooms has limited A/C. I called 3 times for them to fix it and they never showed up. I had to open the window so we can get some air, but the noise for the construction was that loud. Service at the Restaurant horrible. You ask for a coffee and the you have to call again because no sugar, you ask for something and they look at you like they doing a favor. I felt very unwelcomed there and paying that much for a 5* hotel to receive that treatment is disappointed. No even a Good morning or is everything ok? Do not recommend this hotel at all.

An amazing, luxurious hotel experience in a historic and super prime location close to restaurants, shopping, transportation and top sightseeing venues. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else. The staff is wonderful, and pampers guests above and beyond.

Great breakfast in pleasant area. large room and bathroom. shower stall could be a little slippery. if you liked to soak there was a large rub. we got in late and had great light dinner in the bar.

Construction NOISE
The area in front of the hotel is under construction, the entry to the hotel is blocked from one side and there is a lot of noise especially in the morning.

Excellent staff and property. Some noise only because it’s directly in the center of town. So maybe ask for a room not facing the street.
