Though the place isn't in walking distance to downtown, unless you like long walks, we took a 5 minute Uber in and back so no one had to drive or find a place to park.

The property had bed bugs. I was attacked so badly I had to go to urgent care and cancel the rest of my vacation. They denied accountability and still have not refunded my stay.

Dear Diane, I'm sorry to hear this was your experience at the hotel. I can assure you that the claims you've made were looked into, most of which was already addressed. We're in the process of waiting on the result from pest services which will be convey to you once supplied. As for the refund (which you declined when checking out) was processed and will take some time to show up on your statement. I again apologize that this was the experience with us, this is completely out of the norm.

Girls weekend!
We had a wonderful girls weekend! The hotel location was perfect, not too far but far enough away from the hustle of downtown! The room was great and clean, the beds were comfortable but I found the pillows too soft but that’s just me! A great experience and beautiful memories made!

We picked this property specifically because they offered a shuttle in a 10 mile radius according to Expedia website. We intended to use this to get to the downtown area of Portsmouth. Upon check-in, we were told they no longer have a shuttle. When I went to the room, I discovered the king bed I paid for 8 months ago was instead two double beds with no couch. The front desk staff was very sweet and explained if booked on Expedia, there is no guarantee and that Marriott members have priority over room selection. 30 minutes later, they were able to put us in the room we booked. If I come back to the area, I’ll stay downtown since I will now have to pay for parking or an Uber to go there now.

I enjoyed the room. It was spacious with a variety of seating options. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean and had toiletries I liked the walk in shower. I find the tub showers difficult to get in and out of. The one of the things I didn’t like was that there was no hand soap for washing hands. Had to use the shower gel. Over all it was a nice stay. Wish we had been able stay longer.

Area was convenient to downtown dining, shopping and wakable (slightly over a mile) from the hotel. Also, the complimentary breakfast was above our expectations . . . variety of hot and cold items. All of the staff members were friendly and very helpful.

Look no further!
We stayed here because of the proximity to downtown Portsmouth since we were doing the Candlelight stroll. The location was PERFECT! Close to everything and anything you need. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, especially the young man who checked us in. He seems to be there in the early evening around 6pm. He was so sweet and helpful. Such a nice person. I would definitely stay here again!!

Don’t judge everyone on just one
Terri on the desk was a wonderful person and very friendly. Was helpful and took care of our check in compared to the first individual we encountered. She was not friendly at all and didn’t even give us a chance to tell her about us getting there a hour and a half early. She was leaving and didn’t really care. So the other staff we encountered was very friendly and kind after our return from the first encounter.
