We had a lovely vacation at Palazzo Talamo! Our room felt very spacious and had an amazing view of the water that was such a joy to wake up to every morning. The location cannot be beat either- we loved that it was super close to fun restaurants and right next to the stairs leading down to the water. The staff was excellent and helped us on many occasions to plan outings and schedule taxis and recommend restaurants. They also provide beach towels for use at the beach clubs which I found to be very helpful! We also loved the morning breakfast in the room and we were happy that we could pick what time it would be delivered. We would DEFINITELY stay here again!!!

The rooms are lovely-spacious, clean, and bright. The view from the balcony was spectacular. Breakfast was brought to our balcony to be eaten each morning-delightful! Purr only concern was that the old fashioned key to our room was difficult to use, and that seemed like a fire hazard.

Fantastic Hotel!
This hotel was amazing! The views from our balcony made us not even want to leave! The location was great, about a 10 minute walk down the beach and port. Going up took us a little longer with the stairs, but it was also easy to walk along the road. You can choose from multiple options for breakfast and it will be brought to your room to eat on the balcony. We didn't even want to leave this review because it's such a hidden gem for the area and price but would highly recommend it and we can't wait to come back to visit!

Absolutely fantastic hotel with gorgeous sea-views! Staff were very friendly and always willing to help. The area around the hotel is great for shopping and dining and it has stair access down towards the beach and pier area. Definitely recommend especially if you want a more Italian style and feel to your accommodation during your trip!

Our room had a beautiful view of the coastline. The staff is very helpful. Getting to the beach is a trek involving hundreds of steps but that’s no different than most hotels closer to the top of Positano.

Amazing view
Great rom with an amazing view of positano and the bay. Staff was friendly. Hotel is roughly 300 steps down/up from the beach. Located right across from a few good restaurants. The breakfast served in your room is amazing and a great way to start the day enjoying the view on your porch.

Amazing 3 nights in Positano
We used ferry from Naples (80 min) and this is the only way for me to enjoy Positano without a car. Looking at the map and I thought it'd be a easy walk but it was a quite vertical HIKE from the ferry terminal. Make sure to use porter service (10 euro/bag) that hotel can arrange. It's NOT a good idea to carry your own luggage!! The stay was worth every steps we climbed. Very nice staff, clean room (tight), we enjoyed breakfast in the terrace brought to the room every morning. Hotel is away from the main crowds yet several amazing restaurants and shops are within walking distance. The only issue was when neighbor's dog was barking frequently while enjoying coffee and the view.

No privacy with adjoining rooms particularly in the balcony you could see each other all the time couple of feet away , view was lovely, breakfast was unappetising, very small portion, chose to cancel and ate elsewhere, would have been nice to have a drink in their terrace cafe as on their website overlooking bay but this was not open, very disappointing never told us why. Very clean. Unfortunately would not stay here again.

The location made it convenient to transport luggage from taxi to hotel without climbing stairs (which is not always the case in Positano). Great views from balcony. In room breakfast was a plus.

Best view room
They have provided me a room, not with only ocean view but also Positano town view. From our balcony, we can enjoy everything Positano provides. The view was too nice not to enjoy. We bought wine, prosciutto, Burrata, tomato and so on. Restaurants are in 10 seconds to place an order to pick up. Paying more ends up saving more Also afternoon, we came back with a bottle of wine to lay down on chairs at balcony.

Easily accessed from the street, and the elevator takes you DOWN to the floors with the rooms. As a result, there are magnificent views and no noise from the street. There are great restaurants right outside the door. The breakfasts were excellent, and staff very accommodating to us.

Our stay at Palazzo Talamo was amazing. We got a room with ocean view and it was so worth it, the views are breathtaking. The staff was so nice and helpful and the breakfasts in the room were lovely too. We made the mistake to climb the stairs to get to the hotel as the map showed it was the shorter path, don’t do it, just follow the road until you reach the hotel, much easier! The area is beautiful too, far enough from the super busy street but close enough to reach in less than 5 min. I would definitely recommend this place to people who don’t have a huge budget but still would like to have views from their hotel room.

Nice balcony, that’s about it.
The view is amazing but that’s about it. You pay for the location in Positano but the room itself is fine, hotel had an odd smell, and breakfast was bad. They also have cameras everywhere and I let a friend in to fix her contact that had fallen out, and they called our room telling us she couldn’t be there. Stay here if no other options.

My son tested positive for COVID the day when we supposed to check into Palazzo. I informed the administrators that I couldn’t check in not only because he was contaminated, but specially because he was burning in fever. They didn’t care and charged me the whole price of my booking even though I’ve never step my foot into the property. One administrator of the hotel called me at about 11PM, the day when I supposed to check in, and that whole day I was trying to find out how to treat my son in a foreign country, where I don’t speak the language and pretty much nobody speaks English. My son has special needs and also has epilepsy. He had three seizures in a intervale of 6 hours. When the female administrator called me I couldn’t understand her strong accent trying to speak English. I didn’t even recognize where she was calling from. At the end of that night when my son finally was able to fall sleep, I sent her an email explaining why I would not be able to check in: not only because my son had COVID, and we didn’t want to contaminated anybody, but because my son was not physically able to go to the hotel. I sent her the COVID test result. The employee was rude and said that I’d be charged full price and that they don’t have a policy to cancel booking because of COVID. She said that she sent many emails to me. I NEVER received them!!! I was charged more than €700 for a product that I never used! BE CAREFUL WITH THIS PLACE!!!!

We have stayed at Talamo twice and love the location and view, convenience to walking around Positano, and friendly and helpful staff. The rooms have a small deck where we were able to sip a Spritz and watch boats come and go in the bay. Some of the rooms are quite small--recommend upgrade to the larger room. Rates are competitive for Positano.

Amalfi gem!
Beautiful room with a lovely church view right in the heart of Amalfi. The staff were so friendly and amazing. Plus, the continental breakfast was truly wonderful. Couldn't recommend it more.

Checked into our room fine but we’re appalled to see that one of our bath towels had blood stains on it (this happened once we had already used it). When we let the person at the front desk know about this she told us that this couldn’t be true and that the towels were changed. She did nothing to address the issue other than printing off a piece of paper that said that the towels were changed. Extremely uncomfortable situation after that with absolutely no ownership taken by the hotel staff about this incident.

The location was good but everything else was ordinary except the young guy at reception was the only one that was really helpful. Parking was a rip off … we weren’t notified that it was 60 euros per night, we thought it was for the whole time we were there. So parking cost us 300 euros for 5 nights. Older lady had major attitude. Very un-approachable. They charge 10 euros for beach towel hire per day which was a joke. You could have bought the same towel down the road for 12 euros. Overall, ordinary experience.

Oh my goodness, this was a wonderful stay. Probably our favourite stay anywhere in our life. Do not hesitate to book this place. It is spotless, the staff are so caring and considerate, the food is delicious and the view is almost too good to believe. Plus, you are so close to everything and right on the stairs to the beach. I will be dreaming of this place for a long time.Jealous of everyone who still gets to go. Zero complaints!!

Amazing view
The view is incredible from this hotel. We were looking to stay in positano at a reasonable price and this hotel was perfect. Only thing to be aware of is you have to walk up quite a few flights of stairs unless you take the bus every time. But you can’t beat the view! It’s worth it!

Little Gem
Lovely boutique family style hotel. Best to opt for a room with a sea view you won’t regret it. Breakfast served on your own balcony overlooking the sea can’t be matched. The location is perfect, the stairs case at the back of the property takes you right down to the beach where there are plenty of shops, restaurants and the ferry service which takes you to neighbouring Amalfi and Capri.

We did not have this view on our veranda, which is why booked the room. It's a half wall, rather than a railing. So unless you're standard at the wall, you don't get the view...especially eating breakfast. Very disappointed about that. Also, the photos make the room look larger than it is. It was clean & the staff was exceptionally helpful & gracious. The breakfast was plentiful & delicious. All in all, it was a good stay.

This is an excellent hotel to stay at. We got a balcony room and it was totally worth the extra price. The breakfast every morning was served right on time and I love that it came to our room instead of us having to go somewhere for it. The room was so clean and the house keeping staff was excellent. I loved my stay here and would stay here again if I visited Positano again.

the hotel has a very nice view but honestly the price is excessive for the services it offers, a fairly basic service and an extremely disappointing breakfast, I would not even qualify it as a 3 star, maybe 2 being very generous, I expected much more considering the price . disappointing. on the other hand, the "available parking" is more than 600 meters away and you have to walk, it is also a facility that does not belong to the hotel and that according to the information of the reservation cost 25 euros. both self parking and valet parking; However, they charged me 49 EUROS AND ONLY PAY IN CASH, This made my experience in a place as beautiful as Positano, a feeling of being scammed. a shame

We loved our stay in Positano at Palazzo Talamo. The location was excellent and overall a nice time. When booking the room it said non smoking and the only negative was that the occupants of the room near us kept smoking. We had to close the doors to the terrace because the smoke kept coming in our room. That was the only negative thing about our time.

What a great stay in Positano !! Positano is extremely packed and very difficult to drive. I’d highly recommend not bringing a car at all. The hotel was perfect! Close to everything, affordable and the service was top notch.
