“We loved our little houseboat in Ponta Delgado. We were very fortunate that Sandra took good care of us. We arrived very early in the day and she let us sit in her office (where we nodded off after a long sleepless flight) and then allowed us to check in several hours early. We had unknowingly booked the smallest room with a single bed (that pulls out to a double) and a pull out bed. It was very nice but we wanted a slightly bigger space. Sandra took us to see two other units we could choose……

“Our stay at Whales Bay Hotel was quite wonderful. We loved every aspect of it. The appartments and the common areas are all kept spotlessly clean. The reception staff were really heplful and knowledgeable about the islands. The hot tub and the steam/sauna was a highlight of our day. There is nothing about the accomodation we did not like. We will very probably book again next year.”

“Our experience at the hotel was fabulous. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming. I can say I didn't encounter any staff who weren't great. The room was spotless and a good size. Our balcony overlooked downtown and the harbour beyond. The breakfast included fruit, cheese and bread along with items such as omelettes cooked to order. We also, enjoyed our stop at the bar/restaurant. Overall, a very enjoyable visit to Ponta Delgada. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.”
