Great hotel near Costco in Poway

Lots of parking. Easy pleasant checkin. Great rio upgrade (suite)... Thanks. Comfortable for 2 adults (king bed) and one teenager (sofa bed). Huge bathroom. Refrigerator and wet bar area. Spacious room. Good breakfast buffet - western omelette, toast, fruit, muffins, yogurt, fresh waffle, juice. Nice pool area + jacuzzi. A GREAT place to stay while visiting family in Santee (ugh area)... Easy drive to that area. A world of difference in Poway - clean, educated, nice. Greatly appreciated these accommodations!

Ideal for me... Clean,quiet... Good breakfast, great Mgr. Sebastian with a sense of humor as well! Only one little complaint would be all pillows very soft.. Couldn't find a level of comfort there...

what was advertised....was not what we got!

I was sadly disappointed in this hotel. I expected much higher quality based upon the web site info. The staff were not cheerful or friendly with basically flat affects (we asked if they knew how to get to an address we needed to go to and the response was "I have no idea". Our too was small, there was no bathtub, only a stand up shower. The sheets were stiff and obvious had been very bleached. Our shows door leaks. There was two lotions and no shampoo. There was 4 packets of decaffeinated coffee and no regular. Upon returning to our room from going out we discovered that our 1st floor window was not only unlocked but was not even latched. The pool and jacuzzi only were open until 10 pm yet the weight room was open until midnight. Instead of two king sized pillows there were 5 small pillows on the bed that were to thick they gave both my husband and I neck aches. Finally, the in room refrigerator motor was so loud that I finally got out of bed and unplugged it in order to be able to get some sleep. I swear these are not exaggerations or flippant griping. I can deal with a couple of these things at a budget hotel.....however we paid over double the rate of a nearby budget hotel ($70) for what was advertised as luxury accommodations ($150). We definitely did not find what the advertisement led us to expect. Truly believe the lower rate hotel would have been better. It couldn't have been much worse...

A nice stay

The facilities are very nice; I only wish the breakfast were a bit better (other Hamptons I've stayed in had nicer selections) and the snack foods offered at the store were really a miserable lot.
