Untidy with a smell of retro
Hotel room was not vacuum cleaned for a long time and there were public hair around the toilet seat - discusting. Checkin area smelled of cigarettes. But other than that, staff was friendly and beer was cold.

This is an aging Soviet-era hotel. Poured concrete steps that are noticeably uneven if one takes the stairs. Beds had a 2 inch foam topper that slid around on the mattress and the sheets kept coming undone. When we first arrived, there was hair in the shower. No "bathroom" cups for tooth brushes; so we used the glasses that were there for the bottled water. They were never changed during our stay of 6 nights. Main desk staff seemed a bit surly. Dining room had limited options and the food was so so. However, they didn't always regard their "open" hours which was fortunate as they were limited and we literally would not have eaten some days if they had. No place in the hotel to sit and chat comfortably - main lobby is not at all welcoming and there was no place to get at afternoon coffee and/or cake.

Beds and breakfast were pretty good. The general rooms (reception, restaurant, hallways, etc.) were ok. Internet worked quite well and was quick! However, the room was a mess. The room and the bath were filthy. The carpets had not been vacuum cleaned for months.We found medication, hair, etc. on the carpet, floor and under the beds! The chairs were unusable. The upholstery complety done besides the brown filth of decades on the cloth! The electrical outlets were partly ripped out of the wall. The service personel did not clean anything in the room or the bathroom or renew used up items along the entire stay, however forced my husband -while I was using the toilet !! - into the bathroom to get the towls and the trash can. Only toilet paper was renewed. The shower and the tiles had plenty of mold in particular in the grout regions and the silicone. Lucky me, I brought flip-flops to not touch the floors!! The restaurant bathrooms were out of soap and partly without toilet paper along the entire stay. In the reception area always one person was able to speak English. We had a false fire alarm at 4:30 in the morning. No excuse from anybody about this!

One of the rooms we had was very poor. It had a bad smell throughout. We think it was the carpet. It would have been helpful to have a small kettle in the rooms. I think the hotel is being refurbished. Unfortunatly this perticular room had not got there yet. We should have complained and asked to be moved to another room. Staff were very helpful.

Unclean room. Staff friendly on arrival however we left a stuffed toy in the room by accident. When we called to ask r them to check the room they were extremely rude and did not check the room, saying it wasn't there which we know it was. Likely they threw it away and denied it.

It was very hot in Poznan but air-condition didn't work properly. This is very noisy area. The hotel in principle has parking but asks guests to use external parking.

Faded glory with a bad attitude.
Started badly with receptionist telling me she couldn’t check me in as she was doing her midnight report. When I told her it was 5 to midnight, she informed me it was midnight on her computer already! I was also told that if I had arrived earlier, she would have checked me in right away. Very cheeky! The room was not much better. A faded glory apartment with cheap furnishings and the worst bed I had ever slept in. The bed was so soft and deep that I felt I was rolling off all night. The largest pillow I had ever slept on also did not help things! Although the room was generally clean, the curtains had dust spewing from them when opened or closed. Breakfast was just OK but the service non-existent. The grumpy looking waiter did not greet us and did not once come to ask if we needed anything or take dirty plates away. He was, however, very attentive to someone who looked like a manager in the hotel who had sat next to our table. Never again! Avoid this place as Fawlty Towers comes to mind :-).

Good value
Plenty of space in rooms (upper floor) with new bathroom, good water pressure in shower, fridge and large windows (which can be opened!). Breakfast was good, and generous - hot and cold buffet with plenty of variety. Not a luxury hotel but more than adequate for a few days. Convenient to town - easy walking distance to Old Town and to other attractions.

The location of hotel is excellent, close to the old town and the university where my conference was held. Their breakfast was also very nice. However, their wifi connection was really bad. The hotel claimed to have "free wifi" in every room, but the wifi connection in the building was basically non-existent except for the first floor (lobby), which made my stay extremely inconvenient.

This is a reasonably priced hotel that is near to most major tourist attractions. The rooms are comfortable but a little "dated". The breakfast buffet is exceptional.

The hotel is cheap and good value in that sense but not a great place to stay for any length. It is pretty basic with no real life. Remindede s bit of Orwell's Road to Wigan Pier. You can walk to town down a highway but best cross the road and take first street right into town. Breakfast was good and I am sure it would be fine for a weekend break. Also beware the we noisy building work that makes you up at 6.30. I switched to an apartment.

Hotel looks tired but overall a very pleasant stay. 10 minute walk to old town square and quiet area in evening even though close to main road. Happy to stay if in Poznan again

The main good things are that the hotel was cheap, breakfasts were very decent and even two complimentary bottles were offered each day, staff was polite, and location was central. Not so good things were: linen wasn't changed during my weekly stay, wifi connection was poor, there was no conditioner, and the room was average. Overall, still good value for money.

Close to the old town center, which is within walking distance to other urban areas. No need to have public transportation. Go to the airport and train station by taxi, which is inexpensive. The hotel can call one for you. Clean room to stay. Understandably some rooms have no AC, but it would be better to have a fan in the room for air circulation with window opening. Nice breakfast and pleasant staffs.

The room is clean and the breakfast is great considering the price. Just the room service is al little strange. They gave me a bottle of mineral water with only half filled (I am not sure who drank the other half). They also change the towel everyday even I hang them up as required (to save the environment).
