The best feature of the hotel is definitely the location - there's a lot to do and see in walking distance of the hotel, and an entry to the metro system is literally next door.
I really enjoyed the breakfast - good and simple offerings, plenty of choice and even slight variations from day to day - always tasty! The staff at front desk and breakfast was polite and friendly.
The decor of guest rooms is definitely not for everyone's taste, to me showcasing the Eastern-European turn of century extravagance.
My room had been an accessible room (based on bathroom design), so the furniture had probably been rearranged from the intended placement to accommodate a double bed. This made the room feel cramped and small, and the electrical sockets were placed awkwardly. The bed and pillows were comfortable however. The only view opened to the smoking terrace (and the window was behind the headboard of the bed), but the was absolutely quiet, which was nice. The air conditioning seemed to struggle cooling the room down to my liking, but I could open the window, at least when noone was smoking.
Would I stay again? Depending on price point available, I'd consider it likely. The hotel has character that makes it more interesting than huge chain hotels. Hopefully I'll have better luck with the room next time.
