Great hotel, lovely staff

Posted Oct 22, 2015
Pros: Location, friendly staff, comfortable and clean, Wifi worked well
Cons: Very firm beds
Location: Short walk to the centre of Mala Strana, old town. There is also a tram right out the front.
This was a comfortable hotel with very nice staff. The breakfast was okay, nothing spectacular but did the job. The location is just a short walk to the centre of Mala Strana, old town. There is also a tram right out the front. Just be warned if you don't like firm mattresses, the beds are very hard!

Lovely, characterful hotel close to city centre

Posted Aug 8, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff, size of the room, view, location
Cons: Te breakfast was basic but adequate
Location: Great location. Five minutes walk from Charles Bridge, lots of restaurants and bars close by, close to the Castle and Old Town.
This was a lovely hotel in a really nice part of Prague. i know the city well and booked it because of its position but it exceeded expectations. Old building but in good repair with large, comfortable room with a view directly up to the Castle. Staff were very friendly, The breakfast was th weakest part of the experience but was perfectly adequate. I would absolutely recommend this hotel.

secret deal not so good?

Posted Feb 11, 2014
Pros: It's location is excellent. Bus then tube from airport, 100 metre walk cost about £1 and takes 45mins max. 10mins to castle (uohill)/old town(flat)
Cons: Room large, shower fierce, heating fine just needs attention to the little things (above) but at price we paid you cant have everything.
Location: Equidistant from Old Town and castle. Near tram and tubes to go further afield. If over 65 take passport for half price fares and reduced entry fees.
We did the secret 4star deal ie no name until you pay as previously (New York, Paris) this had been an excellent deal. But Hotel Trinidad was a disappointment, more 3 star and definitely not 4, despite an impressive location. The 'toiletries' were a bottle clamped to the wall in the shower and another above the sink. There was no shower cap. However it did appear one could purchase some things from reception eg towel slippers/toothpaste. There was no tea coffee facilities. None of those little things which make a 4 star.

Apartment style rooms--walk to everything

Posted Aug 4, 2013
Pros: Location is awesome, clean, comfortable
Location: It is in a great location -- can walk to the Prague Castle, Old Town, Charles Bridge and the subway.
This feels more like you are staying in a small apartment building--which is what I prefer (not a big fan of the anonymous big hotels). It is in a great location -- can walk to the castle, Old Town, Charles Bridge and the subway. Great value, but don't expect amenities -- you will literally be living like a local. Parking is out front along the road, but there is plenty of room and the hotel will give you a parking pass to put in the windshield.

Unique Boutique

A unique boutique hotel near the city center. In an older building, this hotel has spacious rooms and was a comfortable stay for our family in terms of value, location and service.

questionable digs

Posted Oct 14, 2008
Slightly dated hotel with the typical surley czech staff. The good stuff - The room was clean and comfy and the location was excellent at the foot of the castle back steps and 5 minutes from the Charles bridge 10 from the Old town square. Not so good - the decor was dated the breakfats was low quality and the breakfast room/bar was not clean. The hotel really take advantage of you - I asked for 2 bottles of water we received 2 250ml bottle at 50 crowns each - I wouldn't go back - I'f pay up the extra cash and stay in one of the better appointed hotels in just as central locations. However if your looking for cheaper and comfy base you could do worse

Great Location

Great location at the foot on the Palace and Cathedral, next to Parliament and a short walk to the Charles Bridge. Quiet part of Prague. Right next to public transportation for easy access to the train station and the airport. Friendly, helpful staff and generous breakfast.
